63 Tuesdays
63 Tuesdays have passed since I have joined in with the To Do Tuesday group, now hosted by Linda at Texas Quilt Gal. I’ve missed some Tuesdays, but these posts really are good incentive for moving my projects along each week.
There’s been no lounging in the hammock this week at Pieceful Thoughts. Both BigJ and I have been busy – he’s laying cement while I’m laying thread – haha! Wilbs has been overseeing all the indoor projects, stopping by for many nose nuzzles and chatter. I had one simple task last week: the challenge quilt. I’m happy to say it is well underway. All that’s left is to do the quilting. I’m letting it simmer while I settle on my idea for quilting. I have plenty of time to get that done on this small quilt.
What else did I get done?
- Piece of the Santa Fe Trail block
- October Monthly Color Challenge block
- Yellow Brick Road quilt
- Two Fall mini quilts
Before I list out my tasks this week, I have to show you the cute quilt holder my daughter made.
Yes, I made that quilt and finally finished it back in 2016. You can see it in this post, but this photo is much better. Anyway, back to the quilt holder. She simply took a board and glued some wooden clothespins to it, added some cord to the back for the hanger, and she was good to go!
Alrighty, let’s look at my list for this week.
Continue
- Two and Four QAL
Finish
- Challenge Quilt
- Bind 3 quilts (the ones I ignored last week)
I have a few more things on my list, but these will be the primary focus this week.
Some of the others in the group have been listing their weekly projects much longer than 63 Tuesdays. I hope you hop over to Texas Quilt Gal and take a look at what everyone else is up to!

She did a good job with the quilt holder. Nothing fancy, does its job, lets the quilt be the star of the show.

Hi Wendy! Well, isn’t that just so cute and clever?!! The perfect size for your wall hanging, which is adorbs and perfect for the season. I have to say I’m glad Wilbs isn’t overseeing the cement project. That would entail some cute little footprints for sure. Good luck with your list this week. ~smile~ Roseanne

It sounds great to have BigJ busy with a project of his own so that you get time in the sewing room! I love the quilt holder and the quilt on it, too. Looking forward to seeing your challenge quilt those are always so neat!

Laying thread…I like that! Congrats on getting the challenge going. Sometimes it takes a while to turn that motor over. I love the idea for that quilt hanger. Your daughter is so creative. If I’d asked my hubby to make one for me, there would have been a big plan and who knows if it would ever get done!! Glad Wilbs is keeping track of your progress. Have a great week.

That quilt holder is wonderful! Hmmm, cement laying sounds interesting. I’m glad Wilbs is helping you, otherwise you might not get much done. My kitties are trying to make a hammock out of the quilt on the frame. Looking forward to your challenge quilt!
Thanks for linking to To Do Tuesday. 🙂
