A Wee Little Project
A wee little project, a/k/a squirrel, popped in to my quilt room this weekend. This is my first Drop Everything and Make It (DrEAMi) project for 2020. Well, technically the second, but I haven’t shown the first yet. Anyway —
On Saturday, Sherry of Powered by Quilting did a live stream as she made Weebraw bags, and I joined in with her for a little bit to make the smaller bag.
The Weebraw Bag is a pattern by Laura Cunningham and it can be found on Bluprint. The pattern comes in two sizes, 4 inches and 6 inches. My little bag is the 4 inch size. I placed the spool of thread in this picture to give you an idea of the size.
This wee little project was so quick to make. It can easily be done in half a day. There are two little pockets on the front of the bag and it is roomy inside, perfect for tucking in some sewing supplies.
The Weebraw Bag would make a great little gift, filled with some goodies, for either kids or adults. Imagine it for those small kids’ toys that need to tag along wherever they go. There are all kinds of possibilities!
This bag is perfect for using up scraps; it takes just a little amount of fabric. I’d like to make this with some Maker Maker fabric and Essex linen for a chic look.
I’ll be making more of these. This wee little project, a/k/a squirrel is definitely a good pattern to have on hand!
Linking up today with Pretty Piney and What I Made Monday.

Oh, that is so cute, Wendy! I love the pockets on the outside. You find the best bag and pouch patterns! They do make good squirrel projects – that’s for sure!

A lovely bag, but not big enough for a squirrel! Seriously, I almost joined in but have a bit to get done before QuiltCon! I really love your fabric choices and the thread is a help in knowing the size. I do think I have to try this as I love the idea of the outside pockets, but wonder how useful…what do you think is this useful or just a pretty thing??

Isn’t that just a cutie patootie! I think it may be just big enough for a little squirrel to jump into, LOL

That is the cutest little bag. I have a FQ bundle of the Thrive fabric, that I can’t seem to find the right project.

Ooh, linen would be fab in one of these, though I do love the fabrics you chose. Yay for getting your tiara straightened up there Missy! 🙂 And thanks for the shout-out and future linking up with DrEAMi!

That bag is the cutest little squirrel I’ve seen in a while! 🙂 I love those kind of quick, easy, and useful projects. It would look great made with some linen!
