Block Review
How about a block review today? I thought I’d show you my progress on a few of my ongoing projects. The rest of the sewing I’m doing is secret sewing for now, so not much I can show you there yet.
Moda Blockheads 2
We are now on Block 13 of Moda Blockheads 2. I’m enjoying it so far, and the pace seems to be just right. Here are Blocks 11, 12 and 13, starting at top left and going counterclockwise.
Block 12, Jace’s Star, was a little challenging. Those little HSTs in the star points finish at 3/4 inches! The ripper and I had some deep, meaningful conversations over this block. Block 13, the flower, was a very fun block to make. The blocks vary in size in this quilt along, with the largest (so far) being 24 inches. I can’t wait to see the final layout. Soon I will post a photo of all the blocks, when I find a place to lay them all out.
Gypsy Wife
Here’s where I was the last time I posted photos of my Gypsy Wife blocks.
This is the only block I’ve added to the group so far. At our last sew day, I didn’t get as much done as I had hoped.
I’m slowly making progress, though. Soon I’ll be able to start making filler blocks and then constructing the sections!
Fat Quarter Shop Quilt Along
Here’s a peek at some sewing I’m doing for an upcoming quilt along with the Fat Quarter Shop. I can’t show you the blocks, but I can show you my progress. The fabrics I’m using are Harmony by Sweetwater and white Bella solids. Harmony is a very bright, cheerful line.
This is a quick, fun quilt. Keep an eye on my Instagram account and I’ll show you more progress as I go along.
Welcome to My House Blog Hop
Carol over at Just Let Me Quilt is hosting the Welcome to My House Blog Hop on September 10-14. This is my first year participating, and the 10th is my day to post. I’m busy secret sewing, with houses on my mind. Watch for more information on the blog hop soon!
So, what are you working on today?
Linking up today with Beth at Cooking Up Quilts, and Beth at Love Laugh Quilt.
Wishing all my U.S. and Canadian friends a safe and relaxing Labor Day!

I really like the tall flower. I think I have the pattern for the Gypsy Wife but never made it

I love those little houses! All your blocks are looking great. How do you store them in between new pattern releases?

All of your blocks are looking very pretty. Yikes 3/4-inch HST’s. You’re a brave woman.

Loving all these projects. I am torn a to what is my favorite at the momement – the houes or the new gypsy wife block. Looks like a productive period of time!

So many juicy tidbits!!! Oh how you whet my appetite without any attempts to satisfy my yearnings. We need to talk, Wendy. Love you much.

Nice to see the ongoing work you’re doing, and congrats on getting to be part of a FQS hop! What a wonderful meaningful line you’re working with. It’s fun to have a few ‘adding to each month’ type projects isn’t it?

Hi Wendy! This is a fun, newsy post! I love, love, LOVE your houses for the blog hop. I can’t wait to see where those go! And your secret sewing fabrics are just too fabulous. I didn’t know the Fat Quarter Shop had secret sewers – how cool. Last of all, I almost jumped in with the Moda Blockheads – this looks like a fun QAL. ~smile~ Roseanne
