Friday Finish
This has been a productive week and loads of fun. I have a big Friday Finish to share with you today.
Friday Finish #1
I finished the three little mini mini quilts. On Monday, there were 5 that I was going to finish, but I decided to two small blocks needs some company, so I will make them into something else.
Friday Finish #2
I finished the Harmony table runner. This little bright runner is going to a friend. Binding those angles though; not sure I want to do that again for awhile.
Friday Finish #3
Several of you mentioned looking forward to seeing the finished Elephant Quilt, so here you go. I absolutely love what Connie did for these cute little pachyderms!
Look at the fun detail she put into the elephants.
Each little elephant has its own design. In the background, Connie quilted bamboo shoots. How fun is that?
Friday Finish #4
I just managed to get the binding on this lovely quilt today. It was the perfect day to work on this sunshiny, happy, bright quilt since we have yet another overcast, gloomy sky. Corey Yoder’s Sundrops line is one of my absolute favorites.
A peek at the back. This could be reversible!
Look at the pretty quilting!
I can tell you now that next week will not be as productive in the quilt cave, but it will be a busy week with some really fun things. More about that later.
By the way, don’t forget to follow along with the 2017 New Quilters Blog Hop that’s going on right now. You can follow the hop through the co-leaders, Yvonne at QuiltingJetGirl, Beth at Cooking Up Quilts, or my hive leader, Leanne at She Can Quilt. I’ll be posting for the hop on May 8th, so stay tuned!
I’m linking up today with Amanda at Crazy Mom Quilts and Sarah at Confessions of a Fabric Addict.
Have a great weekend, everyone! See you Monday!

Great finishes! Feel free to give yourself a well-deserved pat on the back! I’ve been searching your blog as well as Margo’s Reproductionfabrics site and haven’t found the elephant pattern. It is darling. (I collect elephants so this would be a perfect quilt for me to make FOR ME…lol) Is the pattern available somewhere? Thank you for being such an inspiration…even if I did feel a twinge of guilt at not accomplishing nearly as much this week as you did. 🙂

I zoomed way in on the elephants to see the great quilting! The bamboo shoots are so fun, and a nice open background fill to complement the applique.
The Sundrops piece is so cheerful and sweet! Congrats on all these finishes, Wendy.

You got a lot done this week! Inspiring. A note to your email soon about Maine!

What a great bunch of finishes!! I love the elephant quilt, especially the quilting! and I made a similar quilt with Corey Yoder’s Sundrops when I got a Jolly Bar pack in my Sew Sampler box. It’s a beautiful fabric line.

Wendy you have been very productive this week. I love the angled binding but can’t imagine ever being brave enough to try.

What a great week you had! Just want to let you know that I love the elephant quilt! And wow! what an awesome job Connie did on the quilting. I love it. I did pick up the pattern and the template to make one some day. One of my many many dreams! And love all of your posts! Thanks for sharing with us!

These are really great finishes! Corey Yoder’s fabrics and patterns both tend to be favorites of mine. I have a couple on my to-do list.
Connie
Your quilting is amazing, keep going girl.

What fun those elephants are! A lot of good work there.
I started cutting a new quilt last evening, just barely started. And I did a little bit more this morning. And then I realized that every piece I cut was the wrong size! I decided it must be time for a little break, so I finally wrote a blog post instead. 🙂

Oh my gosh, there’s so much goodness in this one post! You had a beautifully productive week. Those elephants! The quilting is fantastic, but the elephants take my heart. One day I will make an applique quilt – it’s on my to do list! I’ve made a Sundrops quilt top but have to quilt it. It’s a beautiful line of fabric, and I love the quilt you made with it.
Sandra Healy
All great finishes but I LOVE the elephant quilt! Love the sumptuous fabrics for the elephants and the quilting is amazing!
Sarah Craig
Beautiful finishes!!! Pat yourself on the back – you get big whoop whoops!!!
Shelly Pagliai
I LOVE your elephant quilt. My sister will probably want to make one. Where did you get the pattern?

The elephant quilt is such fun. And all those other finishes – I wouldn’t have wanted to bind those table runner corners.
Jenny Benton
Lots of great finishes and I really love the elephant quilt – so special. Who is going to get this beauty, or is it going to stay with you? Like the others, I would be interested to know where you purchased the pattern.

It was fun to find your blog at the Whoop! Whoop! linky party. Hope you don’t mind that I’ve been enjoying a little surfing. The elephant quilt is so FUN! Love the simple applique design and the quilt that she did on it for you. The project is really tickling my fancy.

Love the quilting on the elephants! And I made that same quilt using the 5×10 fabrics (can’t think what the heck they’re called right now)! I even used a similar quilt pattern – floppy feathers – but my backing was different. ~smile~ Roseanne
