I Like Thursday 57
Just quickly popping in with my I Like Thursday 57 post to join in with the I Like Thursday group over at Not Afraid of Color.
I haven’t been out of the house this week, so my list of likes is limited to in-house. We are under quarantine. Yes, we have Covid here at Pieceful Thoughts.
So there has been a lot of this going on. The best medicine, y’know? We are all really fine, so don’t worry. Our symptoms have been like a mild cold/flu. We are resting and doing all the things we need to do.
My sewing mojo is slowly coming back, so maybe I’ll have something later this week.
We will still be making a Thanksgiving meal, and I like our tradition of making something new (Korean grill, this year) and everyone making part of it. The Covid twist for me this year – I have lost my sense of taste and smell. It will come back, just not sure when. Kinda puts a damper on enjoying that meal, though!
I like that I have friends like you – near and far, who have been checking in and asking if I need anything. That warms my heart. Whether you’re a local friend or one across the ocean, thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Hopefully I will be back next week with more to my post. Until then, take care, wear your masks, wash your hands, and find things in this crazy world that make you smile.
Wendy

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family – and Wilbur too! I had forgotten you do a different sort of meal each year. I love that sort of thing but cannot have Thanksgiving without the traditional turkey and stuffing. Maybe if you make the meal super spicy you will be able to taste it?? Haha Take care and know we are all thinking of you and grateful your family was not hit hard by this virus.

With all the stigma around this deadly virus, thank you for making it public that you have contracted it, though I’m so sorry to hear it. Glad that it isn’t too bad, and that Nurse Wilbs is taking good care of you. I wish you well Wendy, and your family, and a quiet cosy thankful day.

Oh no, so sorry you caught the bug. It’s good that it seems to be a mild case, but watch out for long term after effects. Rest up and gt well soon. The sewing can wait.

OMG, Wendy!!!!! I am so sorry to hear that you have the virus. Thankfully, no breathing issues? Wilbur looks like he is doing his very best at keeping an eye on the patient and snuggling just as much as possible. I hope your taste and smell does come back, and quickly. Sue has been without hers for over a year now. It is crazy – it’s really hard to cook that way. {{{Hugs}}} a whole bunch for you, my friend. ~smile~ Roseanne

I didn’t catch your Thanksgiving Day blog until now! Yes, we’re all a bit quarantined this Thanksgiving. I’m glad to hear you’re all having it mild. Maybe you can make the Korean grill again when everyone has their senses back. How do you even make Korean grill?!! Sounds delicious!
