I Like Thursdays #11
Here’s my likes for I Like Thursdays #11:
I like Thursdays. I do! Almost more than Fridays. Thursdays are often my days when I can stay home and sew. What could be better than that?!
Quilt Group! Tonight is our quilt group meeting, and November is our education station month. Three of our members offer to teach a technique or show a new quilt gadget. We divide into three groups and rotate between the three instructors. It’s always good to learn something new.
Trying New Coffee Drinks. You know from previous posts that I like coffee. This week I tried a Butter Cream Breve at one of our local coffee shops. It was so smooth and creamy, and smelled like a cinnamon bun. Definitely not low calorie, so I won’t be having them often, but oh so yummy.
My iPhone Camera. When I’m bored, I like to goof around with my phone camera. Sometimes I look better in black & white. Haha.
Kaffe Spot Candy Fabric. I love these fabrics. I’m collecting them, stashing them, pulling them out and petting them. I just double-checked the name to be sure I had it right, and Missouri Star has a layer cake of them. I haven’t ordered it . . . yet.
My Sister-in-Law. I don’t just like her, I love her — she’s like the sister I never had. We were together this last weekend, and had such fun. We bopped around stores and giggled and laughed, bought clothes, went to a quilt shop, and all kinds of fun things. She’s just the best! To be fair to her, I won’t post the picture I took of her sporting a fun headband in one of the stores — I’ll just keep that in storage for the perfect time. [wink] I just post this older pic of the three of us, my brother Steve, me, and Nita. We have a good time together.
This Little Pumpkin. I’ve had this little pumpkin for years. I love his little happy smile. He always comes out each fall, and he glows with happiness when I insert a candle inside.
Our host for I Like Thursdays, LeeAnna (Not Afraid of Color) always has some fun likes to share, along with her sweet pup Milo. Be sure to stop over and enjoy her post, as well as the others who post for this party – their links are found on LeeAnna’s site.
And that’s a wrap for I Like Thursdays #11. What’s one new like you’ve found this week? Will you share it with us?
Wendy

I am glad you posted a pic of Steve and Nita, now I can picture who you are talking about! Who doesn’t love a cute little pumpkin, especially at this time of year.

You and Nita look like you’re having the time of your life! That coffee, creamy–yes, please!!!

You are having fun! I feel the same way about Thursdays – sometimes my bee, but often times J is out at choir, a good evening for me to plow through some things…

someone else mentioned that coffee drink this week – I might have to stop someplace and see if they have it. It is nice being close to a sister in law isn’t it — I have a lot of sisters in law (6) and wouldn’t even be able to pick out a best! Love that polka dot fabric

I like to stay home and sew on Thursdays too. I like reading your list of likes. Hugs,

I like to stay home too. I agree coffee is awesome. I tried the peppermint mocha frappacino at Sb the other day. Um yummy! How great to have a SIL that you can spend time with and enjoy.

You are so blessed to have a sister-in-law like that- what fun! I love Breve’s but a buttercream one sounds amazing! Love your cheery little pumpkin and your Happy Thursday posts brighten my day!
My like for the day is enjoying my daughter’s little Corgi puppy! It’s a joy to take care of her! She’s added the cute factor to our family.🐶😃

what a precious gift to enjoy your SIL!!! That older pic makes me want to join in the merriment. I love coffee too… creamy strong coffee and the red cup is pretty which is important. You’d better buy that fabric bundle and fast. The petting stash is hungry…

You’re lucky to have a SIL that you love. I would have liked a closer relationship with my two SIL’s, but it wasn’t meant to be, I guess. My favorite coffee this time of year are the white chocolate peppermint mochas at Starbucks. Oh my gosh…so many calories, and so I limit myself to one per Christmas season. I’m with you on the Kaffe polka dots. I love them.

Great “likes” this week; so nice to hear that you and your SIL have such fun times together…I, myself, like just plain old coffee–BUT it HAS to have 1/2 & 1/2 in it…hugs, Julierose

Hi Wendy! Thursdays have always been my favorite day. It used to be because Thursdays meant a glass of wine in the evening. Now we’ve gotten away from that but it’s still my fav. Almost the end of the week yet not quite! Is Nita the SIL that has the quilt shop with your brother? I’m glad you have an almost-sister to pal around with. I feel the same way about Sue! Happy Thursday to you. ~smile~ Roseanne

I’m late getting around to all my favorite blogs today because my quilt group met this afternoon! I love my group, too, and hope you have a great evening with yours! That coffee looks delicious – fun to try a new flavor. Love the cute selfie and the picture with your brother and SIL, too. They look like a lot of fun!

That is an awesome photo of the three of you! I love it when family get along so well, the way it’s meant to be imo. Anyway, great likes and Thursday was always special being so close to Friday and the end of the work week. Hope you have a great weekend!
