I Like Thursdays #20
I’m joining LeeAnna at Not Afraid of Color and my other quilty friends for today’s I Like Thursdays, where we share things we’ve enjoyed throughout the past week. I hope you stop over and see what the others have to say after you read this quick post.
Most of my week was spent indoors, sewing. What’s not to like about that? I’ve been busy. This morning, however, I’m liking this view from my living room chair.
When the Christmas season is over, we move our tree (sans decorations, of course, but with the lights) to our deck. It is so pretty with that light covering of snow.
And while I’m enjoying that view, I’m liking my second cup of coffee. Funny how a simple little coffee can just make the day begin so much better!
And that’s my I Like Thursdays #20. Short and sweet. Enjoy your day, my friends!

Coffee…beverage of the gods.

What great idea to put the tree with lights out on the deck!! The snow is pretty and I’m trying to enjoy that aspect of winter. I like snowshoeing across the road in the woods where the snow lays untouched on the pines! I agree the first cup of morning coffee is the best! I’m also liking a new tea this week: Celestial Seasonings Cranberry Vanilla Wonderland.

What a pretty view out your window! And a hot beverage in a pretty mug sitting on something quilted – that’s the best. ☕ Have a great day, Wendy!

yes that first cup of coffee in the morning is what so many of us need- I don’t think I’m actually awake until then. Love your tree on the deck and so much snow! we had a little bit of sleet yesterday and today there is a little ice in the trees about half way up not heavy so that is ok and today it should melt when the afternoon high gets close to 40 – going through a chilly spell here in Arkansas – have a great day

You have a lot of snow–we have a light dusting so far…most of our storms have been rain and some slushy mixes…can’t complain..

Coffee in the morning just sets the day off on the right foot, even though mine is little more than colored water!! Enjoy the day you can keep the snow, I like cacti better.

Hi Wendy! That view out your kitchen window is just so peaceful looking. The tree looks gorgeous with just a touch of snow on it. And that cuppa on that wonderful star runner looks so comforting. I love staying inside and sewing especially on days like today when a gentle snow is slowly falling. ~smile~ Roseanne

Your Ocean Blocks are so pretty! and you have a great to do list lined up Wendy.
What a great idea to continue enjoying your tree like that. There is nothing prettier than snow on lights. And so cosy sitting looking at it with a coffee.

Living in Texas for over 40 years and we still miss a view like this. Thank you for sharing.

This is a test. So much nice commenting now without having to answer questions and giving up my first born which he is still available.

Hahaha – Rose, you are so funny.

Love this! I like to keep some twinkling lights up somewhere…it really helps in the darkness of January and February!
Colette
Lovely view, and all the more better with a warm cup of coffee all snuggly inside.

I love snow on the trees – it’s just amazing. I do tea, not coffee, but can get totally behind the sentiment of starting the day that way!

Coffee and a great view of a clever idea! You go girl!

It is like I was having that first cup with you this morning Wendy – enjoying it now while I read your post. 🙂

Life is all about the simple pleasures, isn’t it? I’m enjoying my coffee as I read about your coffee…

I like the tree deck idea. One year I just propped up the tree in the back yard and it looked great. We need extra lights during January. You could put popcorn on it and watch birds too.
Mary
Nice idea to put the tree in that spot so you can still enjoy it with the snow. How serene that looks.
