I Like Thursdays #25
I Like Thursdays #25, my twenty-fifth post of things I’ve seen or been grateful for. I enjoy joining in with LeeAnna of Not Afraid of Color and my other friends who are listed on her page, as we encourage one another each week. Won’t you hop over to Not Afraid of Color and read the other posts too?
Pretty Windows
We enjoyed lunch with a friend this past week at a pretty little cafe in a renovated house. We sat in a little alcove with beautiful stained glass windows.
Our visit was sweet, the food was delicious, and the sun was shining. A perfect day!
Inspiration
I didn’t get to QuiltCon, but that doesn’t mean it didn’t inspire me. From the Instagram posts to this QuiltCon issue, it was the next best thing to being there. Maybe. I’m especially intrigued by the Scavenger Hunt challenge quilt in this issue. I want to drop everything and make it, so it will be on my list after I return from my trip.
Scrappy Quilt Blocks
Playing with scraps is so satisfying. This is a block of the month that our quilt group is doing using the Deli Geese pattern by Pat Speth of Nickel Quilts.
Chocolate Truffles
Of course you know I love chocolate. BigJ bought Legacy Chocolate Truffles for me on Valentine’s Day. They are my favorites.
This is a dark chocolate espresso truffle. Is your mouth watering?
And that’s a wrap for my I Like Thursdays #25. Next week I’ll be on the road, so I may not get a post in. If not, I’ll catch up with you mid-March!

A beautiful window and those scrappy blocks almost as yummy as the truffle.

It looks like a lacy ruffle around the edge of that stained glass window! Those scrappy blocks are the cutest! Do they use 5″ squares? I don’t know Legacy chocolates, but I know they must be delicious! Have a great trip!!!
Quilting is in my Blood
I don’t have the this year’s QuiltCon magazine, but I’m totally intrigued about the Scavenger Hunt challenge quilt. Like I need another project, LOL! And yes my mouth is watering, even though it’s only 5:45 am! Have a great day, Mary.

I’ve always loved stained glass and took a class way back in the early 80s. I had to stop because I was too afraid I’d cut myself – lol! Thanks for the link to the Deli Geese patterns; now I want to make them. I had to laugh on how she arrived at the name.

I love stopping in those small little places. You never know what you will see. Those are beautiful windows and lucky you to have seen them on a sunny day. Safe travels to you.

I love those little blocks I had to follow your link to see them – I like the naming of the blocks in pairs. The chocolate looks to die for – I do love dark chocolates and with anything coffee is a plus

Good morning Wendy! Post #25! You’re almost at a half-year of like posts. That truffle looks delicious – my stomach was growling before I saw it and now it really is. Love that stained glass window – I can only imagine how pretty it is with sunshine pouring through all those gorgeous colors. I didn’t even know there was a QuiltCon magazine. The scavenger hunt quilt sounds intriguing – I need to look that up. Safe travels, my friend. ~smile~ Roseanne

I realized Quiltcon is going to be in Phoenix in February of 2022. I’m going to try to plan our travels so we can attend. I didn’t know about the magazine either.

You should have been at Quiltcon with Kathleen and I which would have meant a huge increase in sales. I could have bought more and you might have inspired me to buy more, right? I need to read the magazine which I bought but don’t know about the Scavenger Hunt quilt.
Kate
Chocolate is always a favorite, yours looks very rich and yummy.
