I Like Thursdays #38
I’m back this week with I Like Thursdays #38, and I’m joining up with LeeAnna at Not Afraid of Color and the rest of my friends as we post our likes and/or gratitudes for the week.
I like seeing dew on blades of grass, so I snapped quick photo.
I enjoy having a cat again, and I like having a younger cat. I’m not sure I like how adventurous Wilbur is, however. Notice how carefully he steps over the footed dish. See that shelf over the patio doors? He was taking a good look at it, assessing. When I tell him “no” he has quite a lot to say. I expect I will find him up there some day. Sigh.
While on a walk through a local arboretum, I saw this new-to-me flower. It is a White Wild Indigo (Baptisia alba). I liked seeing them dancing in the gentle breeze throughout the prairie.
I like grilled salmon, and I like it even more when BigJ does the grilling. Yum! The wild rice and roasted cauliflower were tasty too!
I like little surprises that come in the mail. Thanks, Vicki!
I like my little stack of mini plus blocks. Just a few more to make, and my 100 day project will soon be done!
And that’s it for my I Like Thursdays #38. I hope you enjoyed my little highlights for the week. If you’d like to read my past I Like Thursday posts, you can read them here. Stop over to Not Afraid of Color and check out the I Like thursday posts from my other friends!

What a lovely post. Thanks for cheering me up — and reminding me of the importance of the simple things, like dew on the grass and unexpected flowers blooming in the fields

Wonderful likes from Wilbur and his antics to the mini plus blocks.

Wilbur seems to be a clever kitty. Maybe you can teach him to sew 🙂

It looks like Wilbur is quite the explorer! I hope he doesn’t knock important things off the shelves! I love dew on grass, too – early morning is a favorite time of mine. Your salmon and the sides with it looks so good. Now I want some salmon! 🙂 Hope you had a great Thursday, Wendy!

Okay you brought a smile to my face when the mug rug appeared on my screen! You know I really wanted to enclose that granola bar with it, but I also knew it would be squished flat by the time it got to you!! OMG when I saw Wilbur on that shelf with your breakable dish I thought YIKES, I am glad he is careful!!!

Great likes! Wilbur is quite agile and must be very entertaining! Have a wonderful Holiday!

I love wild rice but my hubby not so much so sometimes I make wild rice and brown rice and mix the two together and he will eat it then

Wilbur, you character. The salmon looks delicious, and I love roasted cauliflower. I love wild rice too. Your plus blocks are going to be very cute sewn into a quilt.

Wilburrrrrrrrrr! (a la Mr. Ed) I’ve not seen that indigo flower, could you make dye with it? welcome back Wendy!

I am loving how green it is here at the moment as we move further into the summer things will get a little more brittle and yellow.

Hi,
Cats are really adventurous…I’m sure Wilbur will eventually make it over to that
shelf..I’m not fond of salmon, but yours looks really yummy…that’s a lot of little blocks
to make…have a great day!

Such beautiful photos. Don’t get dew on the grass this time of year in the high desert (of course I’d have to have grass). Wilbur is giving you a run for the money with his adventuresome personality. Is he an indoor cat? I so admire that you have been able to commit to making one plus block every day. Have a wonderful weekend.

I wonder if that plant would make indigo dye? It is pretty. Wilbur is quite cheeky climbing near that footed bowl. I love when someone else cooks – only downside of my son here and COVID….hoping to get out tomorrow.

Hi Wendy! Ahh, Wilber. I’m certain you will be on that shelf over the door sooner than later. I love how he carefully wound his way through the shelving. I’m going to miss seeing your #100 blocks each day on IG! It seems like those days went by quickly. How sweet of Vicki to send you that mug rug. That’s a pleasant surprise! Happy 4th to you and your peeps. Stay safe. ~smile~ Roseanne

Bad kitty! He’s a cutie! What a cute mug rug. Your little stack of blocks are impressive. I haven’t seen an indigo plant, but there’s a false indigo down the street that looks similar.

That is a sweet curious kitty. Love that sweet Mug rug and your stack of blocks. I’m curious as well to Find out if that plant would work for dyeing.

It’s amazing how cats are able to maneuver around obstacles. I bet Wilbur will make the jump. Here’s hoping he won;t cause a crash when he tries to get back. One friend’s cat pushes things off her table on purpose. I’ve enjoy seeing your plus blocks on IG. Looking forward to the final product.

Oh my Wilbur is a curious kitty. I think you are right and he will be on that high shelf one day. Your salmon looked delicious and the mug rug is such a sweet gift. Thank you for sharing your happy positive likes with all of us. 😉 Carol

Wilbur is so cute, cats do bring so much entertainment, I had two a few years ago, not now with two energetic insane dogs though. Thank you for the smile.
Linda
Oh that Wilbur – he looks so cute. Are you following a sew-along with the 100 day project? That is going to be such a pretty quilt. We have never cooked salmon, are you shocked? We recently got a pellet grill, so that is on my bucket list!
Colette
Wilbur is my reason for not having a cat anymore. When the kittens come to visit it is a free for all. Love your 100 day blocks on IG. The white baptisia is awesome.

What a cutie Wilbur is! I like your mini plus blocks and that yummy looking lunch! =) I hope to get to MN before this year is over and when I do, we’ll have to get together.
