I Like Thursdays #8
Welcome to my I Like Thursdays #8, my eighth post with this fun linky party hosted by LeeAnna of Not Afraid of Color. You can read LeeAnna’s post as well as the others’ who are joining in too, over at Not Afraid of Color. Better yet, if you like what you read, join in. Just let LeeAnna know you’d like to be added in.
I have just a few likes to share today, so here we go.
This Lil’ Pumpkin. Isn’t it cute?
This beauty was made by a fellow artist and high school classmate. She makes beautiful things from vintage needlepoints. For a season of time during the fall, she makes these lovely pumpkins. She puts them up for sale every Thursday. If you are interested, you can find more information here.
Wilbur thought the pumpkin was lovely tasty too, especially the stem. The pumpkin has been relocated to non-Wilbur territory (hopefully). I should pair it up with this quilt and put it up on my piano (but Wilbur loves the top of the piano).
This book. I’ve heard much about this book, so I decided to begin working through it. I am not sure what I expect to come of reading it, but I am enjoying the process so far.
Stitch Fix. I really dislike shopping for clothes (it used to be fun), so I decided to try Stitch Fix. For now, it works for me. I can try on everything at home, and send back what I don’t want to keep. I love it when the box shows up at my door.
Lattes and Chocolate. In any form. It’s my favorite little treat to myself.
That’s my I Like Thursdays post for today. See you next week!

Hi Wendy! HAHA – Wilbur enjoys the cute little pumpkin, too, huh?! That just cracks me up. I can just picture him nibbling on it . . . or outright chewing for that matter. I’m glad you were able to save it! Lattes and chocolate – now that’s my kind of treat. At least until it gets much colder when it has to be a warm beverage. I’ll be right over. ~smile~ Roseanne

I bought the book years ago and still haven’t read it! I’m curious to hear more after you’re farther into it. And what do you think of the quality of clothing from StitchFix? I’m ready to give it a try after striking out with LL Bean. Let’s get a latte soon!

I like that needlepoint pumpkin. I believe I have an unfinished needlepoint piece from my grandmother in my cedar chest. I wonder if your friend would like to have it. I’d like to see it come out of the dark and get used for something.

The Artist’s Way is on my list too! I’ll be interested to hear more of your thoughts on it! 🙂

Such a fun little pumpkin – it’s fun to have things like that to get out every year! You mentioned that book to me another time, and I hadn’t heard about it before. It sounds interesting! And a big Yes! on the latte and some chocolate to go with – my favorite treat, too!

Many years ago a friend introduced me to “The Artist’s Way”, and it changed my life. Every few years I go through and do some of the chapters again (just to see if & how I’ve changed and grown). I’m giving myself a challenge to get back to Morning Pages in 2020. I have a few of Julia Cameron’s books, and I reread them or parts of them often. I made a creative notebook to keep all of my pages in which added to my experience the first time and brings back memories each time I look through it again. Look forward to hearing how your experience is, as each one of different, so are our experience.

I love your pumpkin and that book looks interesting 🙂

Great likes. I agree I feel that it is “that time of year” for chocolate too.

Ooh – whatever that dessert is, it looks delicious! Bad Wilbur! I hope your pumpkin is still on one piece.

So much to love! That pumpkin is adorable! The coffee and treat makes me wish I was there with you and the book…I have been on the fence…look forward to hearing more.

oh my, that pumpkin is cute and a great concept. No eating it! Not even the stems wilbur. Cookies look like chocolate crinkles that used to be my fave to bake. Rich choc. dough rolled in powdered sugar and baked.

That’s exactly what that cookie was — a bit supersized from what I’m used to, but I enjoyed every bite!
