Mug Rug Fun
I have a little mug rug fun to share with you today. It’s my day to participate in the No Ring November Mug Rug Blog Hop hosted by Carla of Creatin’ in the Sticks. My mug rug has nothing to do with the upcoming holidays, but it might come in handy nonetheless.
One of the quickest ways to whip up a mug rug is to use small panels. I have these little cat panels with some catitude. Here are a few, to give you an idea:
So I pulled a couple of my favorites for some mug rug fun – a reversible mug rug!
With the holidays before us, there are days coming when everything is coming together well – your coffee was warm and delicious, and there were no spills or rings!! You clip along, getting errands done, first line line at check outs, grocery list checked off, gifts bought (maybe even wrapped). You feel like –
Queen of Everything, right?!
But there are those other mornings, when you can hardly put one foot in front of the other. You stumble out of bed, the coffee is too strong (Is that even possible), you spill it (ring and mess everywhere). For those days, you just flip this little mug rug over –
Nope. Not today.
The background fabric is a fun little bird feet print by AGF. Of course, I had to use a striped binding, fabric by Dear Stella.
I don’t know what side you favor today, but either way, I hope you stop over and visit the other bloggers who are sharing their No Ring November mug rugs today. Here they are:

Thank you, Wendy, for showing a fantastic way to use those small panels. I’ll bet we all have a few of those in our stash. Maybe not as cute as those kitties though. Thank you for joining the No Ring November Hop!

With the flick of a wrist, one’s attitude is on display. Kinda like the kitties themselves – with the flick of a tail…well, you get it!

I LOVE THESE. So far, today I am on the Queen of Everything side. I hope that doesn’t change as the day goes on!!

I love the reversibility!
I don’t have cats any more, but if future archaeologists ever look at my earlier quilts, it’s possible they will think that they were put together by cats. I am sure a few hairs got in there somewhere.
Susan
These are too cute! You can pull out the appropriate one for how your feeling for the day – I think the Queen of Everything will see lots of use!

Love, love, LOVE this idea, Wendy. The only thing that would have improved on your post is . . . you know what . . . a Wilbs inclusion. A tail or tale is not complete without him. Plus that looks like a toy he might enjoy. {{Hugs}} I love the inspiration of a reversible mug rug! ~smile~ Roseanne

Nope Not Today is probably my favorite, and my cat, Weebles, claims the Queen of Everything! I’m wondering what size are the mini panels and what size are your finished mug rugs? Super fun mug rug!

Adorable, Wendy. I’m sure Wilbs approves!

Your Mug Rugs are absolutely purrfect. I do love cats and would like to make these to give to my cat loving friends. Absolutely adorable.

Wendy! Being a kitty rescuer (5 resident, 3 to 17 yr olds) and lover, these are adorable! I had to immediately go to Etsy and find the fabric to make some similar for me, family and a few friends. If anyone is interested, it’s called “Snarky Cat Fabric Panel” by Clothworks. Thank you for inspiration!

Cute and fun variety of cat coasters.

Do you recall the cat panel used in your mug rugs? Or perhaps where I. A purchase the panel. I’ve been searching without any luck. Thanks in advance.
