My Drop Everything and Make It Month
DrEAMi, or Drop Everything and Make It, is a linky party hosted by Sandra at mmm!Quilts. These are projects that, if you are like me, call to you when you really should be working on a current project, and you just have to drop everything and make it. I’ve had a few of them this month.
Many of you who read my posts regularly have seen these before, so thank you if you read through this post and see them once again. However, if you want to see something new, head over to mmm!Quilts and take a look at the others who have linked up to the party.
DrEAMi One
I enjoyed making this tote, and I’m looking forward to putting it to use. You can read about it here.
DrEAMi Two
This was a fun quilt to make. No pattern, just doing my own thing. You can read about the process here and here.
DrEAMi Three
This one is waiting to be finished, but was a fun quilt to make using the October Blogger Bundle from Needle & Foot. You can read about it here.
It’s been a fun month! My current project, the one I should’ve been working on while these three were being made, is a quilt for the Art with Fabric Blog Hop coming up in November. My day to post for that Hop is November 8th, so I hope you stop back for a peek!
Meanwhile, do pop over to mmm!Quilts and look at all the creative peeps and their DrEAMi projects. If you have one you’ve made, link it up on Sandra’s site.
Enjoy your weekend, friends!

As quilters, we live for the wild abandon of dreami projects! You have some super fun ones going on in your studio, Wendy! All three are cute as a button. Number 2 is especially great–original, finished and photographed! Way to wrap up a squirrel!

Thanks, Nancy 😊

I am just envious that you had time for 3 DrREAMI projects!!
piecefulwendy
Yes, you need to let your squirrels out soon, my friend! 😉
Kate
That bag is so cute! Lots of fun squirrels invaded your sewing room this month.
piecefulwendy
They did, Kate! They’re still partyin’
karenfae
cute bag – great finishes

Thanks, Karen 😊

I don’t think I knew those were for a linky. That’s a good one. I made the cardinal for the same reason, only without knowing about the link-up. Love your finishes. It’s easy to see why you had to drop everything.
piecefulwendy
Thanks, Barbara! I usually miss this link up, so I’m happy to have something this time. You should link your cardinal 😊

I snickered at your ‘my current project, the one I should’ve been working on’ phrase, oh I hear ya this month. Great projects all three! Thanks for linking up. And uh I’d better get back to my current project asap as October is nearly done!
piecefulwendy
Will get it linked up when I get home later today. Thanks for hosting!!

It has been a dreamy month for you, hasn’t it. I so need one of those, and am working on a little one (but as it is a test block for someone’s pattern, don’t know when I can show it). I don’t know which one I love more – there are all just terrific.
piecefulwendy
Thanks, Kathleen!

You have made some fun things this month! Sometimes we really do just have to go with those squirrels that won’t leave us alone!
piecefulwendy
Diann, so true! Thanks!

Hi Wendy! I didn’t realize your three most recent finishes were DrEAMis. HAHA! Great finishes never the less. I have a blog hop on the 8th as well and final gave it a thought today. I thought I was going to have to withdraw. Happy Saturday! ~smile~ Roseanne

I’ll look forward to seeing your post on the 8th!

Three DrEAMis!! So cool! I love the fabric you chose for the tote. And that Autumn colored quilt. So pretty in the wild. Strange. Autumn colors are not ones I choose to use in decorating, but I gravitate to them in quilts. I’m seeing lots of table runners lately. They seem like a fun way to try out just a few blocks. Yours is striking in Bernie’s bundle.
piecefulwendy
Oh, thanks so much! I think table runners just seem to work well with fall decor!

Hi Wendy, I love all of your Dreami projects — I need a new tote bag – I’ve started using the library again so I need something to carry my books in when we travel 🙂
piecefulwendy
Thanks, Karla. A library bag is a great idea!

That red print with those dresses are adorable, and make the perfect little tote. I understand those drop everything projects, I have them all the time. But my problem is I never get them finished! LOL
piecefulwendy
Oh, I have those too!! LOL

Beautiful work as always Wendy. I really love the red fabric of the tote bag.
piecefulwendy
Thank you 😊

Love the Dreami 2. Need to make one myself!
