Pieceful Monday
My quilting took a back seat last week to quite a bit of family activity. Our youngest graduated from college, which involved moving her home, packing her up for her summer work, going to the graduation ceremony, and celebrating. Here’s a look at her mortarboard that she gussied up with a blue heron and the initials of her major (Fisheries and Wildlife). She will be conducting field research on different birds as she begins her new career.
At the beginning of last week, I did get some work done on this little quilt. I’ve had the top done for awhile, I just needed to quilt and bind it. While I like the big stitch look, I’m not really happy with the outcome of the quilt. The snowman faces are a little puffy, which bugs me. However, it doesn’t bug me enough to rip it up.
I also started work on the Sugar quilt, a Frivols quilt kit, using the Cookie Exchange fabric from Sweetwater. This will be a WIP as I work on it from time to time. I’ve started early enough that I might have it done by the holiday season.
So I’m off to do more stitching. Hope you have a good week!
