PQ 14.2 Pink Tint
Here is my PQ 14.2 Pink Tint submission. I wasn’t sure I’d have time to get something done this week, but I did.
I pulled out just a few pink scraps, along with my set of Make It Curvy templates from Jen Carlson Bailly. I decided to use the 2.5″ templates. The cutting and sewing went quickly, and soon I had this fun little block all finished up!
I was really hoping those stripes would line up, but it was close enough for me. There are enough little hiccups in this block, that I’ve been calling it “beauty school dropout” – haha. (You’re welcome for that little earworm, too)
Here’s a peek at the back so you can see the quilting design. I used a pink variegated thread and just followed the curves.
This little 8″ block is just the right size for a pop of color on my counter. PQ 14.2 Pink Tint is done, and I’m looking forward to the next challenge!

Quilting is in my Blood
A sweet little piece. I really like the simple outline quilting. It reminds me of a butterfly.

An adorable piece! Simple is sometimes the best, as in this case.

Very cute! You definitely demonstrated that simple and fast can still be pretty.

I am glad you had time for a little pink to brighten our winter!

Very pretty, and I love the pink. I like that the lines don’t line up – makes it more interesting (as if it wasn’t interesting enough already!)
Tracie
Wendy, that’s perfect with your snowball votive! I love the fabric you used on the back because it adds the right bit of fun.

Beauty School Dropout? SEW funny, Wendy! I this she’s rather pretty.
Karen
cute and it looks like it can be done fast – who doesn’t like a fast finish

Yup, it’s totally stuck in my head now! LOL. Very cute and perfect for that little candle! I agree with Linda: the slight offset does make it more interesting and definitely charming!

It’s pretty! Nice job!

I think it looks great and way to go sewing those smaller curves. I’m doing a lot of 3″ finished curves right now and they seem to take me a lot more time than larger curves, haha.

A great curvy piecing project. Love it!

Cute and well in advance of Valentine’s Day. Paul just made me watch Grease (cause it is a classic, he insisted). For once I get the reference. Mostly I go “HUH” when someone mentions an old movie/song/tv show.

It is so cute and pretty!! Hugs,

How perfect is that little pink piece! I love it. I will be playing with those templates this coming week, when I get back to Diatom! Fabulous idea for PQ and I think the quilting is just perfect, too.

Sooo nice… valentines day will be pink! I have the same snowball for a candle. It is from Finland. Yours as well? I am a little bit „ jaleous“ the fabric of the back, catches my eyes. Pink & Curvy…. If someone need a name for a nice bakery and sewing shop, I would take that name!

That is a very cute little mini quilt! I love the way the curved pieces are mixed with squares to make the design. You are so good with the curves! Are you ready for our day on the VR blog hop? I’ve spent a lot of time on my post – hope it comes out right!
Sally
Yay for curves. It’s a pretty little piece.
