Quilty Tidbits
Quilty tidbits is about all I have for you today. The good news is I’m back in my quilt room, catching up. However, I can’t show you the projects I’ve been working on yet, so little tidbits will have to do.
A Food Truck Tidbit
How about a sneak peek at the Paintbrush Studio project I’ve been working on? This is due on Wednesday, and it is done! Now I just need to get some good photos. Here’s that peek.
You might have seen this photo on my Instagram feed, but I just had to show it again. Isn’t that fabric the cutest? Am I craving ice cream? Yes, I am!
This is just a little peek at four of the fabrics I’ve used. The Food Truck line has been delightfully fun to play with.
A Squirrel Tidbit
As I was working on the Food Truck project, who should saunter into my quilt room but a big, sassy squirrel. He sat himself down in the cozy chair and said, “Whatcha doin’?” I tried to ignore him. He proceeded to wave some pretty fabric in front of me. A soft yellow and green, and white. He knows I can’t resist Kona solid fabric.
So here’s the tidbit. Something I’m in the process of making that I’m hoping will turn out. More on this one soon!
And of course, a Shopping Tidbit
Okay, not really a shopping tidbit, because I didn’t get this in a shop. I got it in the mail, but I had to share it with you. This is one item that came in this month’s Sew Sampler box. How cute is this little wool mat?
I put my shears with it, so you can get an idea of the size of this little mat. This is the Gypsy Quilter felted wool pressing mat, and this size is made exclusively for the Fat Quarter Shop. This 5.5″ x 9″ mat will be a great size for those little projects. I can’t wait to use this.
A Wilbur Tidbit
Because I can’t resist Wilbur. He’s a pill in my quilt room, unless he’s taking a nap. Tonight, he just wanted to play a bit. So here’s a cute photo of him waiting to catch the toy we’re playing with.
I hope you have a great week lined up, my friends! While you’re reading this, I’ll be on a day trip with BigJ. There may be a stop or two at a quilt shop!

The food truck and ice cream cone fabrics are soooo fun and adorable! 😃
My Sewful Retirement
Glad you’re feeling better! I love the wool pressing mats — I ordered a large one for my ironing station and got a small one as a bonus. It’s perfect to sit right next to my machine as I work on projects!

Cute food truck fabs. But you as such a tease! I want to see the whole thing!?! Those squirrels!!! They are growing in size and sassiness! Can’t wait to hear about your QS road trip. Don’t forget to check out their Row By Row.

Hi Wendy! Aww, Wilbur is so darn cute. And all of these sneak peeks look fab to me. Especially those ice cream cones – yum. Food truck line – what a good idea. And those lovely solids . . . where will those go, I can’t help but wonder. I’ll be patient and wait to see. ~smile~ Roseanne

Wilbur is lovely! The fabric and wool mat are all just so much fun. Can’t wait to see what you are making. I am slow these days, only getting some things done and not others. I’ll get back up to speed, but keeping up with the blogs is just not happening!

Love all these tidbits but the Wilbur one is my favorite! Glad I read this because you reminded me I need to write yet another post for the squirrel chasers amongst us for tomorrow. Glad you are slowly getting back in the sewing chair!
