Sweet Work In Progress
I was obviously in vacation recovery mode over the weekend. I took multiple naps and completely missed a post for Monday, so Cool Tool Monday will be back next month. Let me show the sweet project I’m working on this week.
I came home with this sweet floral charm pack and companion fabrics.
I took the charm pack to my cutting mat and got to work. I haven’t had a pretty mess like this in awhile.
And from that sweet mess, I have this.
This is going to be a sweet baby quilt for a very special little girl. My cousin’s daughter, Allyssa, is due in less than 13 weeks, so I am zipping along on this. I can’t wait to see it done. I’ll keep you posted!
The pattern for the quilt is the Mini Periwinkle Quilt from Missouri Star Quilt Company. I’ve made a quilt from this pattern before, and it goes together so easily.
New Quilt Bloggers Blog Hop
Monday is the last week for our New Quilt Bloggers Blog Hop, and it is my turn to post. I’ll share a little about me, my blog and my quilts. Don’t forget about the giveaways! If you haven’t signed up for this week’s giveaways, there’s still time. Then come back and enter next week too! You can find the giveaways at Quilting Jetgirl, Cooking Up Quilts and She Can Quilt.
In the meantime, I’ll show you more of my progress on the sweet baby quilt on Friday. I have three baby quilts in the works, all for girls, so things are sweet and spice and everything nice in my quilt cave!
See you Friday!

I always have vacation lag for a few days when I come back home. When I saw your cut pieces I knew what you were making! Sweet indeed.

Looking forward to seeing your version of the periwinkle quilt. It is one of those on my list to do projects. The fabrics are gorgeous and it should be a lovely quilt!

Such pretty fabrics! That’s a nice pattern, too. I like many of the MSQC free patterns, although I tend not to purchase templates. Do you find that particular template pretty useful for other things?

Things DO look sweet in your sewing cave – those fabrics are delicious! Looking forward to seeing your progress on the baby quilts.

I love those colors!
