Thursday Thankfulness
I’m a bit late getting this Thursday Thankfulness post out to you today. My sleep was a bit disrupted early this morning (not by Wilbs), so I’ve been running a little slow today. It’s all good. I’m thankful for a mostly good night of sleep, and another day to enjoy.
I’m so thankful for sunshine today after a few days of rain. My in-laws had a flooding issue – a big one – and we are thankful a dry day to give some respite as well as time to do some repairing before the next days of rain ahead.
I’m thankful that my daughter and I both enjoy handwork. Wilbs is especially thankful for the amusement of watching us work, and tasting that thread (no worries, we keep a close eye on him so he doesn’t eat it).
I am extremely thankful for a son who knows about geeky tech things and can help me figure out what’s going on when my phone won’t let me access any of my apps. You can thank him too, because if he hadn’t been here, this post would have no photos!
I’m thankful that there is always another book to read. This is my current one, and I’m not sure what I think of it yet. Plot line involves a widow and a baseball pitcher with the yips. I’ll let you know on this one. Have you read it?
The Weekly Wilbs
And of course, I’m very thankful for Wilbs and the joy he brings to our family. I had to share this photo of his awesome whiskers as he soaked up some late afternoon sun!
I’m thankful for you and your willingness to read this Thursday Thankfulness post. I’m joining up with LeeAnna over at Not Afraid of Color to share this post with the others listed on her page.
Happy Thursday, all! What are you thankful for today?

Hi Wendy! Yippee! A Wilbs photo-filled tribute. It doesn’t get any better than that. I can see that he is an extremely helper hand stitcher companion. I, too, am so thankful that there is always another book to read. Thank heavens for the libraries – I need to send them another donation. Thanks for sharing your Wilbs with us. He always makes me happy. ~smile~ Roseanne

I’m thankful I get to read your posts! Thanks for the Wilbs photos today.

Wendy, you and Wills are great! His whiskers are awesome! Does he just watch the thread rather than grab it? My cats are not that obliging! I am thankful for your blogging!

Wendy,
I am like you, thankful for each day and the opportunities it bring. Years ago I had a small long haired black and white cat named YeowYeow. She loved thread when I was hand sewing too. Happy rest of your week.

like you I always need geek help – it seems no matter how many times a computer does something (it is always the computers fault – right) I have to either have someone take care of it or walk me through step by step. Hope the in-laws flooding problem can be fixed fairly quickly.

still laughing at the first picture!!! What a snoopervisor Wlibur is. Flooded yards here, very slippery and goopey

Wendy, I’m thankful you post so often. I was worried about you this morning when I didn’t see one. Technology is wonderful….except when it isn’t. Wilbur has beautiful whiskers and he also had some other lovely poses this week, too. Hope all is well for the in-laws. And it is wonderful that you can entertain Wilbur with sewing.

I agree with Rochelle – technology is great until it isn’t! It really is wonderful to have kids who can help you with tech issues – we’ve taken advantage of that more than once. I, too, am thankful there is always another book to pick up. I haven’t read the one you’re sharing today, but I’ll be curious to hear more about it! Wilbur does have lovely whiskers!

Wilbs does have some pretty amazing whiskers, but I love that upside down shot of him best! It gave me a little chuckle this evening!

Wow, Wilbs’ whiskers are amazing!! Seeing him brings us joy too, Wendy!!

Wilbur’s coy upside-down look might just be the pose of the year. My Jack likes to place his paw on my hand if I’m too focused on sewing, so I recognize that thread-tasting look. Sorry for your in-laws troubles!

Yay for techie people that make fixing things look so easy! Love those glowing whiskers. 🙂

Lovely thankful things. I agree with them all and especially those whiskers of Wilbs’. Great shot, Wendy. Hope the inlaws work out the flooding difficulties very quickly.
Colette
WIlbs your whiskers and eye brow whiskers are mighty impressive. Bobbin loves handwork, she likes the thread dragging over her when she sits on my lap. Great likes, and yay for fixing the phone.

Wilbs and his whiskers are beautiful. I love that sunshine shining through them. Hoping for some dry days for your parents!

Oh, such lovelies!

I hope things are better for you in-laws. Flooding is no fun. Wilbs helping is adorable…of course.

Thanks for reminding me how much there is to be thankful for.

The GREEN on his whiskers!! Iridescent! Bella was on Rufus’s fur mat this morning in the sun, just completely a rag doll. Sleep is precious; I need 8 hours, and when I don’t get it, it’s not good!
