Thursday Thoughts
I’m finally back to share my Thursday Thoughts and join up with LeeAnna and the rest of the I Like Thursday friends over at Not Afraid of Color. It’s been a few weeks since I’ve shared my likes for the week, so let’s get started!
Who can resist cute little pink toe beans? I had to snap the photo of Wilbs’ toes as he snoozed on my lap.
We’ve enjoyed some gorgeous sunsets lately. I shared this photo in another post, it was our last meal on the deck for the season. We stayed out as long as we could – I enjoyed snuggling under my Plus Playtime quilt in its lovely fall colors.
I picked up a remnant of green fabric the other day, and was surprised to unroll it and find an ombre fabric. Pretty, huh?
My daughter finished another cross-stitch project, and this one was for me. I gave her the kit, and she changed up the colors so that it resembled our favorite feline. I added the fabric border and binding, and now it sits where I can see it as I sit here and type.
Wilbs definitely approves!
I’ve been reading quite a bit lately, and just finished this book. It is an interesting read, since the inspiration for the author writing this book was his mother’s work as a private investigator. It’s a quiet, but engaging read.
The Weekly Wilbs
Wilbs has been pretty quiet lately, spending most of his time snoozing in my lap. There’s nothing better than a cuddly kitty on these cool autumn evenings!
Thanks for stopping by and reading my Thursday Thoughts! Wilbs and I are delighted you spent time with us!

Love the adorable paws! And gorgeous sunset! Our Thursday may end up being rather white, not ready for it but never really am! Here comes winter!

Hi Wendy! Aww, that’s trust right there – Wilbs sweet little paws all relaxed. Gorgeous sunset and the quilt turned out fab. That quilt pattern is a fun choice and I’ll bet it enhances the Pluses! Another good book and the cross stitch project turned out so cute. I definitely know who the inspiration is for that piece! Enjoy the snuggle time. Happy Thursday! ~smile~ Roseanne

What a colorful kitty quilt! I am glad Wilbs approves and is not jealous;) I have noticed what I thought would be colorful sunsets if only we could see them, but sitting down where we are we don’t:(

what a beautiful sunset – I have a hard time seeing ours most of the time because of all the trees, who could not love Wilbur!

Hi, Wendy! It’s fun to see what’s going on at your house. The cross-stitch cat is very fun! Did you have heavy rain overnight? Brian measured 2 inches and it’s still raining lightly. I’m content to be snuggled up on the couch until I’m ready to sew.

What a sweet gift from your daughter, Wendy! I can totally understand why Wilbs like it. :o))

I think you found a real gem when you picked up that remnant! The pattern, colors and brightness, really speak to me, and I’m not ordinarily a green person. Have fun with it.

Wilbur knows the best spots for cuddling up! That was a beautiful sunset, and so great that you could still enjoy being outside for a meal. I love the cross-stitched cat – such a fun design! I’ll have to look for that book – sounds interesting!

Aw, that cross stitch kitty is very cute. As is Wilbs all curled up. They get so much more snuggly in the cooler weather!
Quilting is in my Blood
Like everyone else, I love the Wilbs-inspired cross-stitch piece your daughter created and what a great idea to add the fabric border and coordinating binding. Someday I may need to do some cross-stitch again. So many things I want to do and not enough time!
