Thursday Thoughts
I don’t have too much to share this Thursday; you may end up feeling like this poor squirrel, looking at the empty dish and thinking – that’s all there is?! Nevertheless, I’m joining in with LeeAnna of Not Afraid of Color and the rest of my quilty friends as we share some non-quilting fun each week.
In Tuesday’s post, I shared a photo of the newest member of our family. My daughter’s puppy, Tundra. While Tundra lives with our daughter at her apartment, he comes to visit quite often, since we have more room to roam in our backyard. If the weather would cooperate and give us some milder temps, he might like to be out exploring a bit more. His outside stops with these bitter temps are short and sweet.
I promised you some photos of what Wilbs thinks of Tundra. So far, Wilbs is handling it much better than we thought he would. He is very curious, although maintains a slight distance. Tundra is leashed while he visits, until he learns to temper his exuberance for Wilbs’ sake. Here’s a few photos that will give you an idea of how things are going.
With all this change going on, puppy sitting and whatnot, Wilbs makes the most of when he has me all to himself. He is very close by while I’m sewing, making sure those squirrels don’t come in, too, and keeping warm on the pressing table. You can see my space is just a bit limited.
Most of the time, though, he’s just happy to regain his comfy spot on my lap. I don’t mind – he’s cozy and warm on these cold January days and nights.
While he’s been snoozin’, I finished another cross stitch. This is another design by Modern Folk Embroidery. It measures 3-1/2″ x 3-1/2″ and was stitched on 16 count Aida. I have a little start on Christmas 2022!
I’m wrapping up my Thursday Thoughts, thankful to have my booster vax done. I hope you’ve been enjoying your week! Thanks for stopping by Pieceful Thoughts!

The picture of Wilbs looking in the crate says a lot. Fun times ahead I’m sure.

glad all the pets get along and the pets aren’t banging into the door to chase the squirrels. My daughters dog will run and slam herself into the door trying to get to the squirrels – took her a couple times to realize it didn’t work.
Quilting is in my Blood
I’m loving all the pics of Wilbs checking out Tundra and taking over your sewing space. I’m also enjoying seeing your cross-stitch projects. Have you thought more about how you’re going to finish them?

Tundra + Wilbs = a lot of excitement and fun!!! Nice cross stitch, too!

Congrats on your stitching finish, Wendy! Thanks for sharing Wilbs the inquisitive cat photos. Those are darling!

Great cross stitch finish, Wendy! I love the pics of Wilbs and Tundra! But I’m 100% certain, he rather enjoys having you all to himself while keeping those squirrels at bay!

So what does Tundra think of Wilbs climbing on his cage? How did you do after your booster?

These are adorable photos, Wendy! I especially like Wilbs on the ironing board — definitely a challenge to use it! That’s a cute Christmas cross-stitch! I like one-color designs.

Looks like Wilbur has all the skills a quilting cat needs to get through the day. Smitty and Sadie are worried about his proximity to Tundra though. Woofies are not to be trusted, no matter how cute they are. I like your little cross-stitch

Maybe Wilbs sticks close for extra loves and reassurance until he can come to terms with Tundra. Congrats on the cross stitch! 🙂

What a delight to see the curious Wilbs lording it over Tundra. Both are cute as can be. And that poor squirrel looking for a snack! Wilbs in the sewing area is interesting. I always wonder how those “sewing” cats know not to put a paw under the needle as it goes up and down.

Wilbs on the crate. LOL Bobbin loves the kittens, they get kisses all the time, which I am sure they appreciate. But Cali the black cat, Bobbin does not like, she barks at her. Cute cross stitch, and I agree pets sitting on laps keep you nice and toasty.

Hi Wendy! Oh those shots of Wilbs peeking at Tundra are just priceless. Tundra couldn’t care less, it appears. I’m glad you have Wilbs on squirrel duty. He seems quite capable of keeping them at bay, at least for now. How did you do with the booster? I had to lay low for a day. Glad you have that in your arsenal. {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne

Love your photos of Wilbur on Tundra’s crate! Brave kitty! I bet he’s glad to have you all to himself when Tundra goes home. Pretty cross-stitch and tiny!

Funny to see Wilbur checking out Tundra in the travel crate. Its interesting that he knows to stay close when he has you all to himself! The cross stitch is just lovely….and very glad you got your booster in!

Wilbur looks very curious about Tundra! Lots of fun photos for not a lot to share. 😉

Your posts are never lacking when you share pictures of Wilbs!

Hi Wendy. It sure is fun to see Wilbs checking Tundra out! What a fun adventure to watch them and see if they get along once Tundra isn’t such a puppy! 😉. Beautiful cross stitch. Nice to have a start on next Christmas. 😉

Cute pics of Wilbs. Chloe leaves me very little space on my ironing board too. I’m constantly sliding her out of the way and I’m positive she’s using kitty cuss words every time. Poor little squirrel! He needs some corn!! Lovely cross stitch–you’re getting a great start there!
