To Do Tuesday #26
How can it be time for my To Do Tuesday #26 post already? The days seem to fly by lately. This is a favorite day, though, because I get to check in with Roseanne & Sue over at Home Sewn By Us. They always cheer me on as I work through the week.
I hope you’ve all enjoyed some quality sewing time, whether you stayed on task with your projects or played with a few that dropped into your lap (a/k/a squirrels). Let’s take a look a my list from last week and see how I managed:
- Blog Hop quilt finished – Done!
- Challenge quilts finished – Done!
- Bind baby quilt – Done!
It’s very satisfying to complete those tasks. I even snuck a few more little finishes in this week:
This little 6″ mini has been waiting patiently for a binding. I finally completed it and it’s ready to hang during the winter months.
Although my local quilt group has not been meeting, we are still working on the Deli Geese BOM together via email. The Deli Geese blocks were designed by Pat Speth of Nickel Quilts. You can see all of the Deli Geese Project blocks at Nickel Quilts. I just managed to get my July blocks done in the nick of time before the month is over.
So what about this week? The first part of the week promises to be a bit hectic. As a matter of fact, while you are reading this post, I’ll hopefully be picking cherries. Once that is done, I’ll also be picking up some blueberries, so my week will be a little busy outside the quilt room. I will have time to sew later in the week. I’m going to keep it simple once again:
- Bind the Magnolia Mystery Quilt
- Bind the Freedom Quilt
There will be posts on both of those quilts following at a later date.
I’ve also finished my projects for the Christmas in July Then & Now Blog Hop, and I’ll be posting on July 31st. You can find more info on the hop here.
Thank you, once again, for reading this To Do Tuesday #26 post and for cheering me on as I work on my weekly projects.
Don’t forget to pop over to Home Sewn by Us and cheer on Roseanne, Sue and the rest of the group too. Especially now, we all need a little quilty love and encouragement!

It’s not surprising that Tuesday has come around so quickly for you, given that you have been very busy finishing things. Well done

Quilting is in my Blood
That snowflake mini is adorable! And once again I really like your feature photo of a project that I’m not familiar with. It looks great with your readers and fancy pen! Have a great day, Mary.

I always forget how far behind you are with blueberries until you mention when you are picking them – I think here they were gone by mid June. No cherries here put the peaches are all ready and I have 3 nice big one in a bowl in the kitchen

I love that little mini, and I’m interested to see your challenge quilt. So…do we just go to the blog and post on 8/1?

I’d say you had a good sewing week when you can cross items off your list and still do a few other things! You’ll be glad when winter rolls through and you have your snowflake mini all ready to hang.

Fantastic to finish everything on your list. Great that you will be getting fresh cherries and blueberries. Will they be going in the freezer, in jam, in desserts or just eating fresh? Hope you have a wonderful week.

Another Christmas in July hop? More squirrels? And all with a cherry on top lol. Glad you’re enjoying this lovely time of year.

Look at all those checkmarks – good for you! I want to know more about the quilt in your top photo – is that something new you haven’t shared yet? Cute mini with the snowflake on it!

Hi, my friend. Thanks for the shout outs today. You’re so sweet. I love those two Deli Geese blocks – those fabrics you chose work so well together. I love how the golden yellow pulls out those circles on the white background. I hate to think about a winter little mini – or wait, maybe I don’t mind thinking about cooler weather at all! I will definitely be back for your hop day. Thanks in advance for linking up today (I don’t think you have yet). ~smile~ Roseanne

Your snowflake mini is precious! It will certainly be a cheerful addition to your winter home decor! Looks like you have binding in your future! Do you mostly hand bind/machine bind? Take good care!

The snowflake is a cute one. Can’t believe how much you got done! Such sweet blocks! Good luck with the cherries and blueberries! 😉

I love that little mini, the colors and the snowflake, makes me want winter to be here. Cherry and blueberry picking sounds like great fun – let there be pie!
