To Do Tuesday 31

Hi all, thanks for joining me for my To Do Tuesday 31 post! I hope you all enjoyed your weekend. We had lovely fall weather through the weekend, and it has now turned a bit chilly. Definitely fall weather in Minnesota!

I’m joining in with Roseanne and Sue of Home Sewn by Us for the weekly To Do Tuesday linky party and sharing my quilt project progress each week.

How did my last week go?

  • Finish batik projects – In Progress
  • Make pincushion – Done!
  • August Deli Geese blocks – Done!
  • Finish October blog hop project – Brewing
  • Decide on challenge quilt design – Brewing

I’ve finished some of my batik projects from the scraps of other quilts. I’ll show you my progress in tomorrow’s post, so I hope you come back to see what I’ve done.

If you follow me on Instagram (@piecefulwendy), you’ve seen the little pin cushion I made. This little 4-inch cutie was made using Zenchic Moda’s pattern, Block 33, of Moda Blockheads 3. The pattern comes in multiple sizes and is a free download. I had to try those tiny curved pieces!

I also got caught up on my Deli Geese blocks; actually I’m a bit ahead, because I have September’s blocks finished as well.

Here are my August blocks:

Here are my September blocks. I am truly hoping others in my quilt group are quilting along. We have yet to meet as a group, and have very little interaction online. I’m really missing our meetings and seeing my fellow quilters!

In between that sewing, I also continued with cleaning my quilt space. I put my scraps away, went through quilt magazines and cleared out some stacks. That sure feels good!

Next week, I’ll be posting a fun sew along reveal that I did with a friend. I’m excited about this one!

I’m also excited to show you my project for the Hello Fall! blog hop. I’ll be posting on September 22.

To wrap up this To Do Tuesday 31 post, here’s my list for this week:

  • Decide on October blog hop project
  • Design challenge quilt
  • Continue batik projects
  • Quilt Color Pop Quilt

What are you working on this week? Are you busy with a new fall project?

Happy Fall, y’all!

Wendy

You are really rocking the curves lately, Wendy – love the pincushion! The Deli Geese blocks are fun, too – are you using a line of fabric for them or are they scrappy? Looking forward to seeing your batik projects and the fall blog hop!

It seems you are really making progress on your to-do’s. I love that pincushion with the bright colors. Don’t know that I want to tackle curves that small. I do need to take the hint and do some cleaning and tidying. I’ll be back tomorrow to see your batik project.

Kudos to you, Wendy, on making great progress on your August and September blocks – so lovely!!! I miss my friends too but I am glad that the online blogging/quilting world continues to create items of beauty and inspiration. Brew away…there is a lot simmering everywhere 🙂

Good heavens, what a productive week! I missed that wee pincushion, just SO adorable! I, too, have some leftover batiks, leftover Benartex from an ezine quilt, leftover Blueberry Park bits that I’m hoping to work up into some wee projects! They’re fun aren’t they. I need to do the major cleaning and sorting and organizing it sounds like you’re doing, but that will come once the cabinets are ordered and installed.

Hi Wendy! Gee, that little mini pincushion is so darn cute. The curves look perfect. I also love your Deli Geese blocks. There are two blocks each month for a year? That is going to be one pretty quilt when you get to put it all together. Thanks for linking up this week. ~smile~ Roseanne
