To Do Tuesday 34
I’m moving a bit slow for To Do Tuesday 34, after being gone last week. We had a great trip, and enjoyed the change of scenery. The first part of the trip was a lot of this.
We were rewarded with a little of this.
That’s not all we did. I’ll show you a little more of our trip on Thursday. The fall colors were lovely, and the weather was perfect.
Here’s my list of projects I hoped to finish before I left.
- Bind the test quilt – Done!
- Quilt Color Pop Mini – Done!
It was fun to come home and see that Color Pop had been highlighted in Aurifil’s Showcase Sunday. You can see it right here.
So what’s up for this week? I’m still working on the upcoming blog hop project. Hosted by Carol of Just Let Me Quilt, the From the Heart Blog Hop is just around the corner. My day to post is October 28th, so I hope you stop back then to see what I’ve come up with.
I’m also working on my challenge quilt. That’s on my mental list for this week. I know what I want to do, now I just need to get to the fabric version!
Here’s the rest of my list:
- Make pincushion and get it mailed (to Norway)
- Finish test blocks
- Quilt another batik project
We’ll see how much of that I get done. I might be a bit too optimistic, but you never know!
And that’s a wrap for my To Do Tuesday 34 – I’m glad to be back home and tucked in my sewing room.
Enjoy your day!
Wendy

Had a peek at the Aurifil site and your piece definitely popped out from amongst the others! Glad you enjoyed the trip and here’s to a happy stitching week at home

Hey Wendy! Looks like a fun trip! What is that on your masthead photo? It’s cool! Glad you are moving right along with your sewing! So fun to watch your projects evolve!

I wondered about that masthead photo too. It’s nice when you can finish things up before a break and travel with a clear conscience. Looking forward to hearing more about your trip.

Hi Wendy! I have to chime in about the masthead photo? You didn’t even mention it but it is very cool. I’ll bet the Wilbs was happy to see you two. It is a long drive but just seeing the open road like that sounds like fun to me. Do you listen to a book on tape or read aloud on long drives? Can’t wait to see your pincushion that you’re sending to Norway! Good luck on your list, and thank you for linking up this week! ~smile~ Roseanne

That’s so fun that you were featured on the Aurafil website. Nice picture from your trip to the cabin. Looking forward to seeing more pics of your trip. I have to tell you I can’t figure out exactly what the photo is of at the top of this post. Perhaps more will be revealed soon! Take care, Mary.

Just look at the antler wind chime, so appropriate! Hope you can get back into the swing of sewing, now that you are all rested up you will be so inspired to create lots:) Looking forward to tomorrow’s pix.

Glad you got a nice little getaway. We have a little one coming up too. While I’m really looking forward to it (and have been for months), there’s a small part of me that is looking forward to getting *back* so I can get into my sewing room! lol. Trying to figure out what project I’ll take along. A super old UFO–my one hand quilting project?–or some knitting. The hand-quilting UFO has been on this trip a couple times–well *that’s* kind of embarrassing but he’s starting to become part of the trip so I guess I just answered my own question. So glad you could help me work this out! What’s the story behind the pin cushion for Norway?

Sounds like a very relaxing week away. Good luck with this week’s to do list. Happy stitching.

The sunsets alone would have made the trip worthwhile! Stunning! Great list. Good luck on moving things forward. So nice to see Color Pop showcased on Aurifil site.
