To Do Tuesday 47
I’m linking up this To Do Tuesday 47 post with Roseanne and Sue over at Home Sewn by Us. We share progress on our weekly projects and plan our projects for the next week. It’s been very helpful for me to do this, so thanks, Roseanne and Sue!
I had quite a few things on my list last week, enough to keep me out of trouble (wink).
Stay at Home Round Robin
I’m making good progress on my Round Robin quilt. You can see my Round 2 border in this post. I just finished the border for my post, and I’m pretty excited about sharing it with you. Now that it’s done, I’m going to play with another project for a little break.
Project Quilting 12.2
I enjoyed making this little mug mat for the Project Quilting 12.2 challenge. You can read more about it here.
Churn Dash Blocks
I did get the blocks out this week, and laid them out on my bed since it’s easier than trying to find floor space. This is not the layout of the quilt. I just put the blocks out so I could see how they were going together, how many more I’d need, etc.
The 9-inch blocks need borders. I’m missing one 6-inch block and I need to make two more full-size blocks. Then I’ll be ready to play with layout.
Marcia Derse Quilt
This is the only project that didn’t get any attention this week. I have about three rows sewn together. Here’s a little peek.
I do like how it’s turning out, and it should go together quickly once I get back to it.
What’s Up for This Week
- Finish up Churn Dash blocks
- Layout Deli Geese blocks
- Finish Marcia Derse The Blue One (I really need a new name for this quilt)
- Write Endeavourers Challenge post
We’ll see how much I get done this week – I have a little squirrel calling my name, too! Thanks for reading my To Do Tuesday 47 post!

Quilting is in my Blood
Love how you styled your cat mini. You are so darn good at that! Your churn dash blocks look great on your bed. It’s fun to see them all together. Have a great day, Mary.

Wonderful pics of so many great projects! Glad to hear your SAHRR is in good shape and you can play again!

These are all fun projects. I love your little cat piece. It reminds me of a block I made for the Solstice Challenge after the women’s march the day after Trump’s inauguration with all the pink kitty hats. My block had pink cats, but looked a lot like your mug rug.

Sorry, but had to bust into this comment with a reply: Was the pink hat day really that long ago???? So much ‘grey’ under those hats since then – whew! What an awful 4 yrs…
And Wendy, I like your kitty, too!

Oooh I love the fabrics in your header pic! The little pinnie is still making me gush. Such fun churn dash blocks! (I gotta say even if there is floor space, I’m positive laying them out on the bed is much easier on the ol’ back!). You do have lots of fun things going on so I hope you have a fantastically fun week working on checking them off your list!

I love that sneaky little yellow triangle. Somehow it makes you want to give the blue patterns another look.

Your churn dash blocks look so great all laid out like that, Wendy! We can start to see how they might go together. Have fun puzzling that out! Love the peek at your Marcia Derse project, too. I’m going to be sewing some plus blocks today!

Awesome progress! Those churn dash blocks are sure stacking up! Can’t wait to see your MD blue quilt come together! Have I ever told you that your little black kitty looks like Jiji from the Japanese movie, Kiki’s Delivery Service?! Check it out here:

Love the churn dash blocks – didn’t realize they were so big! Nice blues in the Marcia Derse piece. That squirrel is really making his rounds – I heard one scratching at my door yesterday. đŸ˜‰
