To Do Tuesday 49
Tuesday seems to roll around quickly these days. I’m here with my To Do Tuesday 49 post, joining in with Roseanne and Sue of Home Sewn by Us and the rest of the gang who joins the linky party each week.
Last week, I chattered away about projects I wanted to work on for the coming week. Here’s what they were:
- Project Quilting Challenge 12.3
- Fika Quilt – new name for the black and tan!
- Test Quilt
My Project Quilting 12.3 challenge piece is all done. You can read all about it here.
This project is now named the Fika quilt, and I’ll be showing the two projects to you soon. I’ve been waffling on how to quilt them, but I think I’ve got it figured out. So this one is still a work in progress.
The test quilt is done, and while I can’t show you the quilt, I can show you the fabric I pulled from my stash. It never hurts to play with a little spring-like fabric on a blustery, cold winter day!
I also managed to get my Marcia Derse quilt top pieced, so here’s a little preview. I’ll share a full post on this one once Connie works her magic with the quilting.
This week I’m going to keep my list a bit loose. Here’s what I hope to work on:
- Deli Geese – the blocks have been laid out, so I need to sew the top together
- Round Robin – this will be my main focus, working on the last two borders
- Test Block
That’s it for my coming week. I’ve been enjoying less deadline sewing and catching up on some older projects. Thanks for reading this To Do Tuesday 49 post.
One other finish for this week is my February block for the 2021 Monthly Color Challenge with Patterns by Jen – I’ll be showing you that tomorrow, so I hope you stop back to see it!

Hi Wendy! So what is that gorgeous colored piece in your heading of this post?? I LOVE it. And the fabric for the test quilt – LOVE it also. So nice and Springy. I know I have that fabric with the circles on it. I’m looking forward to seeing your blue fabrics quilt all finished – it is so gorgeous and rich looking. Finally, next week is your fun border on the SAHRR and I have to say it’s my favorite one so far. Thanks for linking up today! ~smile~ Roseanne

Some wonderful teasers of blog posts to come! and I love the colorful plus signs at the top of your post. The blues in the Marcia Derse quilt look quite modern. Can’t wait to see more.

Blue for me is like pinks not an easy color. I sure like what you did with the blues. Have a great week and hopefully not too cold up there.

Fika looks pretty, as well as those blues. Looking forward to your reveals!

Wendy, your test quilt fabric is very spring-like!! I love it! Sorry your weather is not so nice. It’s close to 70 here today and tomorrow, then rain moves in and colder weather. I like spring MUCH better! Have a good week working on your projects!

It’s been a busy week, and I finally have a few minutes to read and respond to some blog posts. Your Marcia Derse quilt top looks so rich and beautiful. And I love the coloring on the grid at the top of your post. Have a great weekend.
