To Do Tuesday 51
The above photo is the current state of my pressing table as I left it today to write this To Do Tuesday 51 post. I’m playing with some mprov, and I’ll tell you more about that in a minute.
First, let’s review my list for last week:
- SAHRR – Border 6
- Project Quilting 12.4
- Fika Quilt
I finished SAHRR – Stay at Home Round Robin – Border 6. In fact, I have completed the entire quilt top. I just can’t show you that until next Monday. I’ll be bringing it to Connie for quilting soon!
I also completed my quilt for the Project Qiulting 12.4 challenge, which you can see here.
My Fika quilt is still waiting for me. I had planned to work on it, but I’m still pondering how to quilt it. Nothing has settled yet. Maybe this week.
I decided to jump in with the Black and White Challenge being offered through @quiltimprovstudio on Instagram. The details of the challenge can be found through the link on their site, but here’s the main details – the quilt must be no smaller than 24″ square It must include black and white, with a pop of one other color. The quilt photo must be submitted by May 16th.
I’ve waffled back and forth on whether to join in. I pulled fabric, then let it sit. I just posted my pull on Instagram yesterday. Here it is, once again.
So far, all of those fabrics are coming into play except for the polka dot. I’m not sure about that one. I made few small blocks as a trial to see if I liked it enough to go forward. You will see that I had some help . . .
I’ll continue working on this challenge. I have 10 blocks done, and I’ll be posting peeks on my Instagram feed.
We’ll see if I get this list done this week:
- Prep backing for SAHRR and bring to Connie
- Quilting Fika
- Improv fun
I’m linking up this To Do Tuesday 51 post with Chris over at ChrisKnits. I hope you stop over and leave some encouragement for the others who are posting their weekly progress.
What are you working on this week?

Hi Wendy! Messy ironing table (that’s a sign of a GREAT creative mind, I hear) with fabulous fabrics. Ooh-la-la. All of them are great but that pop of green . . . brilliant. And Wilbs sweet paws are right there, being helpful. ~smile~ Roseanne
