To Do Tuesday 52
I’m linking up today with Chris over at ChrisKnits with my To Do Tuesday 52 post, along with the others who join in as we post our weekly projects and goals each week. Let’s see how I did with last week’s list:
- Prep backing for SAHRR and bring to Connie – Done!
- Quilting Fika – Done!
- Improv fun – In Progress
My Stay at Home Round Robin (SAHRR) quilt top is done and with Connie. I can’t wait to see how she quilts it! You can see my quilt top here.
My Fika quilt is done. You can see the finished top in here.
With those two projects done, I’ve been having fun with my improv project for the Quilt Improv Studio’s Black and White Challenge. If you follow me on Instagram (@piecefulwendy), you’ve already seen these photos, but I thought I’d share them here, too. I’m playing with some layouts – here’s a few:
Layout 1:
Layout 2
Layout 3
Of these three, I favor the first two. The third was just to move things around a bit for a different view. I’ll probably do a few more rearrangements and then choose.
This week, I’m going to keep my list light. The weather is going to warm up, and I suspect I’ll get restless and want to be out and about. Here’s my list:
- Continue work on improv project
- Finish Project Quilting 12.5 challenge
- Clean off my quilting table
It’s been pretty quiet in my quilt room lately, as you can see by this To Do Tuesday 52 post. I’ve been enjoying the quieter pace! Thanks for stopping by and reading my post!

Whatever the layout you will choose, it’s going to be a beautiful improv quilt! I love your blocks!

I like #1 best, but they all look so stinking fun! I didn’t get far with sewing yesterday.

I love this quilt! It looks so interesting

I am a huge fan of lime green, so this is appealing from the get-go. I do like #1 best, but it never hurts to keep fiddling around till you feel 100% about the finished layout.

Hi Wendy! One year of to-do lists!! Do you feel they are helpful for you, and that you’ve gotten more accomplished in that year? Gosh, I love your b/w/lime project. The one block (second row, second block from left) just catches my eye. It looks like a lighthouse with the search beam warning ships in the dark of night. All of them are so cool and so YOU. Love it. ~smile~ Roseanne

Well done on those two mighty finishes. Your improv piece is so striking. Enjoy deciding on the final layout.

I think I like 2 and then 1 but they’re close and both are good. Super artsy and love the colors :o)
