To Do Tuesday 54
This To Do Tuesday 54 post finds me tucked inside, looking out at our 7-8 inches of snow piled up on our patio furniture out on the deck. Last week, I was napping and soaking up some sunshine in a chair on the deck!
You would think with the snow falling outside, that my sewing machine would be humming. Let’s see how I did with my list from last week.
Find the panel to quilt – I have a specific panel I’m looking for. I was pretty sure it was in my bin of small UFOs, so I pulled that out. Never found the panel, but I did finish three small UFOs. You can see my finish of Long Now Short here. A post on the other two will be coming soon. So – the panel I’m looking for is in my bin of large UFOs. I haven’t looked there yet, so I’ll do that this week.
In the meantime, a quilty friend sent me this panel, so rather than add that to my UFO bin, I may work on this one along with the other panel.
Just ignore the slippers and container of crushed walnut shells. This photo was a quick snap I took to send to a friend. I think I have a plan for this one.
The Endeavourers’ Challenge Quilt – I have a plan, and the fabric is pulled and ready. I should be able to begin this week. This is due May 1st, so I have plenty of time.
Project Quilting 12.6 Challenge – I had a hunch this last challenge would be a tricky one. I’m having a very difficult time coming up with an idea for this one. I’m determined to finish, though, so we’ll see. This is the final challenge and the theme is “Ab Intra”. You can read all about it here.
Black & White Improv Challenge – the quilt top is finished and the quilt is on my design wall while I consider how to quilt it. I may be able to start quilting this week, but it will depend on the other two challenges. This one is due by mid-May.
So my list for this To Do Tuesday is basically a repeat of last week, unless I pull out a few more small UFOs.
I’m linking up with Chris over at ChrisKnits today. Stop over to the linky for other quilty inspirati0n!

It looks like we both are having a few problems on the last PQ challenge. Oh and by the way did you have to send snow up my way I was doing fine without any..

Crazy weather wow. What a cute panel! I think you should consider including the slippers and shells in the panel project. 😉 You are a much more determined person than I am. When I read the PQ challenge I made a sound that can only be described as “making a raspberry” and said, Uh, no. 😀

I don’t buy panels but I like the house. I have only ever bought a couple panels and then realized they were not straight went I went to quilt them. Hopefully the last of the snow and that it will melt fast and then you can have sunshine and mosquitoes 🙂
Quilting is in my Blood
I really enjoy reading about your challenge quilts. Sometime I may also participate, but I have enough of my own challenges for now! Looking forward to seeing your panel quilt (or quilts!).

I LOVE your black and white Improv quilt. It is FANTASTIC! That green carries is so much higher! I’m so impressed with all your projects!

Setting aside to-do’s to finish some UFO’s is more than acceptable to me! And your improve looks great–super artsy. Can’t wait to see how you quilt it. The snow looks lovely! I would take it any winter day around here but….well, spring is in just a few days so I think I’d have to pass. (I can’t believe I just typed that! I must be getting wimpy!)

Hi Wendy! I love when you conduct a search and find all kinds of stuff . . . except what you were looking for. I usually get diverted and FORGET what I was looking for. Dang, I can’t wait to see your panel! The one your friend gave you is so cute! Ignore the slippers – dear, I didn’t even see them until you pointed them out! And I still don’t see the walnut shells . . . LOVE the black and white challenge piece – the addition of that green was brilliant. Great job on your list. ~smile~ Roseanne

I love your black and white challenge quilt. Very striking. What a pretty panel! I have a hard time knowing what to do with them, and I have a few in my collection too. Too much snow.

Wendy,
I sure wish we had 7-8 inches of snow a month ago. Now all my daffodils are blooming and they would be ruined. Your cabin quilt needs a yellow cat added. I love the energy of the black and quilt.
Stay creative.

The black and white and lime green improv is wonderful, Wendy! I think everyone agrees that the green was the perfect addition to it. The panel you have looks like fun! I’ll enjoy seeing what you come up with for PQ and the Endeavorers challenge.

Snow days are great for debating projects. Enjoy!

My goodness, it looks like you will be busy this week. As for the snow, it does make one want to stay indoors, doesn’t it. My mind went blank when I saw the PQ challenge for the week. Good luck with that.

Here’s to all the small UFO finishes in these recent weeks!
Can’t wait to see what you decide on the quilting for the lime green quilt top!

Isn’t it fun to look for one thing and find other goodies in the process?? I love that house quilt panel…all kinds of possibilities with that!! Have fun this week. I hope you find the other project you were looking for!!

I just keep watching this black & white with lime green one as it comes along!

Good luck with your list, and may you find that panel! LOL. Thanks for linking up!

Ah, the dangers of looking for something in your UFO bin. Well done on finishing off not one but three UFOs, despite not finding the panel. Have I got the right idea that one cuts up a panel and reconstructs it, or are you just going to embellish and quilt that sweet house panel your friend gave you?
