Woven Quilt
Cindy of Stitchin’ at Home released her new design, Woven, this past weekend. Today I’d like to show you my Woven quilt, which I had fun playing with as a pattern test for Cindy.
Woven is such a versatile pattern, with so many ways to use different fabrics. I chose to use purples, yellows and a low volume background. You can see Cindy’s quilt – and get the pattern – here and Anja’s (Anja Quilts) version here. I enjoy the variety of fabrics used; it gets me thinking of other possibilities!
When I took this quilt to Connie, my longarm bestie, I told her to have some fun. So she went a little out of the box with the thread color (she called me first, and I said go for it!). She used a bright pink neon thread to add an additional pop of color. Fun, huh?
I love the way the quilting looks on the back, too.
This quilt went together so quickly and easily, and it’s a nice generous baby size quilt.
You can find all the details on the quilt and get your own copy of the pattern on Cindy’s post here.
I hope you enjoyed this peek at my Woven quilt. Thanks for the fun pattern test, Cindy!

That hot pink thread was an inspired choice! So cute!

I always enjoy seeing what you are up to. The pink makes the reverse side a second opportunity for decorating with the quilt. Nice test quilt.

That’s a fun design! I love the purple and yellow together, and your quilter’s idea to use the bright pink thread was really neat! It was fun to see Cindy’s original and Anja’s version, too. It’s always so interesting how patterns change with color placement. Pretty finish, Wendy!

I really like your version, the colors are great together. I would never have thought to use neon pink thread but I love it, especially that back!

Hi Wendy! What fun colors for a baby quilt! A bit out of the box for you but I know there is a baby that is going to love being wrapped up in all the love you stitched into this project. ~smile~ Roseanne

Cindy’s pattern is wonderful – I love any sort of woven or plaid motif – plus it looks quite simple to assemble. Very nice!
