I’m delighted to share my version of Baby Zip Tease, one of the 5 patterns featured in this Fast & Fun Blog Hop from Villa Rosa Designs.
I was contacted by Tricia from Villa Rose Designs through my quilting friend, Bernie, to see if I’d be interested in making one of the quilts in this bundle for the Hop. Well, who could turn that down?! But how to choose? Five designs that are quick, versatile, and definitely fun! I chose to make Baby Zip Tease.

Baby Zip Tease is a charm pack friendly design, and it goes together quickly. The finished size of this quilt is 36″ x 38″, perfect for a quick baby quilt, wheelchair quilt, or wall quilt. The pattern could also be easily made to a larger size using multiple charm packs.

For my version, I shopped my stash and used a charm pack of Harvest Road by Lella Boutique. For the background, I didn’t have a charm pack, but used yardage that I had on hand. Those of you who have followed my blog for awhile know that these fabrics are a change from my usual bold color, but I do like the soft colors in this quilt. The backing is also from my stash, a mellow blue polka dot.

You can see that I chose to do simple quilting, stitching in the ditch along the triangles. I used a light blue thread and my walking foot for some quick quilting.
Five Pattern Bundle!

Villa Rosa Designs is offering this 5-pattern bundle of the quilts for this Fast & Fun Hop. Not only can you grab Baby Zip Tease, but also four other fast and fun patterns! Go here to pick up your bundle.

Harvest Road is perfect for Zip Tease! I have a charm pack in my stash too. It’s helpful to see this pattern in a different fabric line that highlights the design because I’d definitely make this baby quilt. Nantucket would be a close second because it looks so quick with those squares.
I like all of the patterns in the bundle, but I think I will use the Hillside Charm or the Nantucket the most often. I like the way you made the Baby Zip Tease. Thank you for sharing
I love it. So easy to find a charm pack and go to work.
I love your version of the Baby Zip Tease, I’ll have to give that one a try!
Jo sent me. I’m loving seeing Baby Zip Tease in different colorways. Plus it’s a use of half square triangles that I hadn’t seen/considered before.

I like your color choices for this pattern, Wendy – definitely cozy and calming. I hadn’t paid much attention to how Baby Zip Tease was constructed until I started looking at your quilt. It does look fast and fun! It could work with a rainbow of scraps, too. Pretty finish! Happy blog hop day to you! 🙂
I have taken a fancy to Nantucket, perfect for a riot of Kaffe Fasset fabrics! BTW, Jo sent me!

Jo sent me! Really like your quilt!
Love your choice of colors. I have a drawer full of charm packs, can’t wait to get started on this one.
I’m new here, and like many others, Jo sent me lol. I’m liking S’witched because I have a layer cake I’ve been hesitant to use because I didn’t want to cut into the designs. Looks like you keep most of the fabric intact with that pattern.
Love those triangles, it’s a great design!
Jo sent me! I love your version of this quilt!! Lovely!
One Villa Rose pattern I’d like to try is the Snow Goose…I’m always drawn to the Flying Geese blocks!
duchick at gmail dot com
Hillside Charm all the way! I have a panel that I’ve been trying to figure out what to do with it. Problem solved!
I would like to try Switched!
The patterns are all lovely but Snow Goose is the one that I find myself attracted to. The Hillside Charm is also intriguing as a way to use a panel. I like your baby quilt and isn’t it wonderful to be able to use your stash?
Baby Zip tease is a Great looking pattern!!! 😍 Love it! The color palette is Beautiful!!!
I keep changing my mind on which is my favorite. When I found out Baby Zip used charms I decided I really wanted to make that. I love Nantucket and Hillside too.
I reallylikethehillsidecharm pattern. I have many panels that are just so cute and want a great pattern to make a quilt.

Half square triangles aren’t my favorite, but your quilt does look interesting. So maybe!
I really like Nantucket. So glad Jo sent me!
I just love this whole idea of a Shop hop online!! There are so many shops. Great prizes! I might try striptease!
S’Witched looks like it would be lots of fun to make.
Colours finding that give contrast is always the one million dollar question… but you did it so perfect! Love your Baby Zip Tease. This would be my favorite as well from the patterns. S’Witched is number two and number three goes to Nantucket. Have to learn more about that possibility to win something.
I like Snow Goose. They all look like they would be fast to make.
My first attraction was to Nantucket while glancing at Switched. Think either would be great but the table runner is great but could make a great bed runner if resized. Well it’s one of those things where the fabric says what it is going to be.
Who am I kidding I love all VillaRosa patterns.
Great Blog
