It’s time for a Current Projects Update since it’s been a few weeks since my last post. I’ll be linking up with Brenda, Carol and Melva once again for their weekly linky parties.
Two of my projects on my to do list were to get the bindings on my Fireside quilt and my Firm Foundation quilt. Firm Foundation is all bound and ready to go except for the label. My binding buddy was up close and personal as I was stitching down that binding!
It was hard enough wrangling that large quilt on my lap, let alone with a 10 lb cat on top of it, but it’s also hard to resist a face like that!
Later, I prepped the binding for my Fireside quilt, my quilt made from the Rotation quilt pattern by Dizzy Quilter. Wilbs helped me – can you tell?
While he was busy rearranging my binding, I found a little wild hare in my quilt room.
I found this little Chubby Bunny pattern on Pinterest. I had in mind to make a stuffy as a gift for a child, but thought I should give it a trial run first using some leftover Minky fabric. While it was easy enough to do, I don’t know that I’ll make a lot of these. I would like to try making one from linen, just for fun. I have made some notes on the pattern to make the construction just a bit easier. He is kinda cute, though, don’t you think?
Last year, I participated in the Villa Rosa Designs Blog Hop and it was a very fun event. It is coming up once again, and I’ll be participating. I’ll be finishing up my quilt in the next few weeks, and I’m looking forward to sharing it with you.
Now that I’ve shared my current projects update, here’s my list of things I need to get done:
- Get the binding on Fireside
- Next Border on SAHRR
- Quilt the Villa Rosa Designs quilt
- Project Quilting Challenge 15.3??

Wilbs looks like he’s been quite the helper lately (and there is no way to resist that cute face)! The chubby bunny is cute and well done for wrestling with Minky. I’m pretty excited about the PQ 15.3 theme and curious to see how others interpret the prompt.
What a cute bunny (a squirrel?). Love the ears. And Wilbs is certainly wanting to be the center of attention. Looking forward to seeing the Villa Rosa Quilt. You are very prolific this year. I enjoy seeing all of your WIPs.

Hi Wendy! That face should never be resisted. NEVER. What’s an extra 10# between friends?! One clothing size, if you’re lucky. I love your wild hare!! I can’t help but wonder what Wilbs thinks of them in HIS sewing studio. After all, no one can rearrange binding quite like the Master of his Domain. Yikes, you have a lot on your plate for the week. Getting binding on two quilts is an exciting time – two almost finishes! Your little rabbit is adorable, too. That will make a fun gift!
I was just going to say: You know, as if it isn’t hard enough to maneuver that quilt around without a cat plopping on it…! LOL. The little chubby bunny turned out great! I bet he’s just so snuggly and soft!
Wilbs looks like he takes his job as binding helper very seriously. That bunny is really cute, love those long ears.

Wilbs is such a good helper. I can just imagine his paw artfully arranging that binding. Your little stuffie IS cute! My Laney likes something called Squishables, so she’d love that.

Great news on Firm Foundation and such excellent help from Wilbur! I love the bunny and sometimes, it is until you find just the right pattern, also enlarging a bit can sometimes make all the difference – those tiny pieces are always a challenge. Can’t wait to see your next PQ – you do such an awesome job on them.
Your blue bunny is very cute! It would make a great baby gift to pair with a quilt. Hmmmm, another squirrel!. I am also participating in the VRD blog hop and can’t wait to see what everyone makes!
