I have Eva’s SAHRR border 6 to show you today. She is still completing the border, but she wanted you to see the plan. It’s a good one!
While Eva went back and forth whether the turquoise was too much, she decided to stay with it, but make the border a little narrower. So it’s a work in progress, but she will have it done soon. She said she learned that using fabrics with different weights is a little challenging. The elephant fabric is a lighter weight than the Grunge, so the seams feel a bit bulky, but she is confident it will quilt up okay. Eva is going to hand quilt her quilt, so we’ll see if she gets that done by the end of March. She’ll be busy!
She has thoroughly enjoyed this 2026 Stay at Home Round Robin, and has felt so encouraged by all of your kind words and comments.
Eva’s SAHRR Border 6 makes me smile. Her quilt is so cheerful and happy. I’m sure it will delight the young girl who will receive it!

I love that border with the flying geese – I made that style once for a border and after seeing yours I wondered why I never made them again! I like how you are doing this one.
I think adding more of that pretty turquoise is the perfect idea, Eva! And the scrappy strips running here and there tie everything together. This is going to be beautiful!
Go, Eva, go! This quilt is such a wonderful expression of your creativity! And to hand quilt it by the end of month…Wow! It would take me the rest of my life to hand quilt anything. Ha, ha! 😁
The turquoise makes a very nice frame for rest of the quilt. She chose well. It’s a nice balance of brights and grays.
I have enjoyed seeing how everyone is finding creative solutions to this last round. Eva is making a nice final round for hers. It will be great to see her finished quilt. My last round is actually similar to her thought process. I’ll send a picture soon.
Your quilt with all the lovely colors, when finished will be bright addition to your wall. It’s a very active piece to look at. Happy quilting.
