I have one more mini quilt to show you today. That Vintage Holiday charm pack was calling to me after finishing my Christmas Tree Mini, which you can read about here.
I wanted to do one more mini using the rest of the red fabric and some of the aqua fabric. so I combined some Bella White squares with the red and aqua squares and sewed them together. I ended up with 16 blocks like this.
There was enough of the backing and binding fabric for this mini too. The charm packs were part of a recent Sew Sampler box, and they sent a coordinating Aurifil thread in a variegated aqua, so I used that to stitch just along the seam lines.
I’m calling this little mini Spiked Eggnog, since some of my quilting lines look a bit drunken. Actually, I just kept losing my train of thought while I was stitching!

I had to laugh cause you sound like me “I lost my train of thought”. LOL The mini is a cutie, and you’ve made the most of that charm pack!
Haha! Thanks, Beth!
Darling! Good use of fabric.
Thank you!
Hi Wendy! This is a really sweet little mini. I love all of those fabrics. I think your quilting looks great and is the perfect choice for this Spiked Eggnog. Happy Monday! ~smile~ Roseanne
Thanks, Roseanne!
neat name for it – I’m still laughing – picturing you with some spiked eggnog while you are trying to quilt 🙂
Thanks, Karen! Haha!
What a fun little mini! Red and aqua are becoming one of my favorite Christmas color combos 🙂
Thanks, Tish!
Spiked Eggnog-love it!!! I lost my train of thought while quilting the other day too-the mind wandered, but it came out ok in the end. Another cute mini:)
Thanks, Vicki! Glad yours worked out!
Very cute mini. Love those colors, and the candycane border.
Thank you! I’m addicted to that candy cane border!
I love aqua and red together and this is the cutest mini!!! I don’t see any drunken quilting–looks just right.
Thanks, Nancy!
Your quilting lines are just fine! A little wash and no one will be the wiser – we are all too hard on ourselves. Nice to keep the leftovers from becoming a thorn in your side and just getting them put together in this lovely mini.
Thanks, Kathleen! Yes! I have too many leftovers!
Ha ha! Your name made me laugh! Very cute mini, drunken meandering and all 🙂 (I couldn’t find a single wobbly line, though!)
Thanks, Louise! Glad you enjoyed it!!
It is going to be fun, come December, when you have all these new pieces to decorate with. Really cute. I am with Louise, I didn’t see any wobbles either!
Thanks, Bernie!
It’s very cute Wendy…and the drunken quilting is fits the eggnog season just fine.
