Pieceful Monday sure rolls around quickly here. It’s been a busy weekend, full of designing and sewing. Let me show you just a few of those things.
Blue and White Bins

I made these two little blue bins using this pattern once again. You can see my other bin I made here. Both were made from fat quarters in my stash. These little bins will be heading to their final destination soon.
Black and White Block
I’m still playing around with black and white. At this point, I don’t think I’ll be finishing this to submit to Curated Quilts. I’m just having some fun with the challenge. But who knows?

This design is from a pattern I drew up and paper pieced. I am still pondering how to quilt it, so it’s on my design board with the other two black and white blocks.
Blue Squirrel
These three little pieces of fabric are all that’s left of part of a scrap bag I picked up at Reproduction Fabrics on Saturday. It was an impulse buy, and I had to make something lickety split. And I did.

It’s all done and finished, but too late to take decent photos. I’ll show you on Wednesday. Just wait until you see what’s left in that scrap bag. These fabrics (above) are what caught my eye, but the rest of them were underneath and they are oh so pretty!
Any squirrels hanging around in your quilt room? I’d love to hear about them!
Linking up with Beth at Cooking Up Quilts for Main Crush Monday and Becca at Pretty Piney for What I Made Monday.
Happy Pieceful Monday, friends!
Wendy

Your baskets are cute, I haven’t made any yet.
I am curious about your scrap bag. I can just imagine a squirrel flailing around in all that fabric! And I do like your bucket baskets, but then you know I am in a basket thing at the moment
You got me with “blue and white”! We all love those fabric baskets. Ok, Wednesday for the squirrel reveal–exciting!
Love the baskets! Can’t wait to see your squirrel reveal 🙂
I am a little surprised that those colors caught your eye, I don’t think they are colorful enough for you;) But I am so curious what the others are! Your little baskets are very sweet. The only squirrels hanging out in my room are the ones that makes a mess and don’t clean up after themselves, LOL And they don’t sew a thing either!
I’ve never been one to make baskets and things and have rarely made much that isn’t quilts – don’t know why I guess I think I wouldn’t use them much – what do you use them for?
You should submit your block. I love it. Your little bins are very cute.
Your black&white design is very impressive. I say go for it. Straight lines quilting when in doubt will keep the focus on the patchwork!!!
Lucky recipients – cute bins 🙂
Hi Wendy! I love the two little blue bins – especially the one on the right. That fabric is sweet! Hmmm, now where are they off to?! Your black and white block is quite fetching. I hope that you do enter it at Curated Quilts. How about some straight matchstick quilting? Maybe with white thread on the black areas and black on the white fabric? That would look sharp, I think. ~smile~ Roseanne
I love those little bins, and that reminds me that I downloaded the pattern and had planned to make one. Another squirrel must have distracted me from that squirrel, lol! Your black and white piece is great, too, Wendy! I’ll enjoy seeing how you decide to quilt it!

Snap! You and I were on a bin binge, LOL
You have been busy. I love your bins 🙂
Lots of fun here Wendy. The bins are adorable. I love that pattern so I will download it and add it to ‘the list.’ Also really like your black and white project – very sleek look to it. 🙂
Thank you for sharing the pattern for the little blue bins. The fabrics you have left to work with are very cool!
