Stars of the Forest Finish

My Stars of the Forest table runner is finished. I snuck it in for a finish right before the end of November. You can read more about it on my earlier post here.

I love the colors in this bundle and how well they play together.

The table runner measures 10″ x 32″ and it fits just right on my kitchen counter.

Using my walking foot, I quilted it with a wavy line on the diagonal. I had planned to do a wavy crosshatch, but decided I liked the single wavy line. Nice and simple.

I used Aurifil thread in light beige (#2310) for the quilting. I like the way it looks on the back. For batting, I used a scrap piece of Quilter’s Dream.

  1. I’m wishing you a wonderful weekend with love and laughter and family, and although it isn’t Thanksgiving for me I will be spending the weekend with my sister and our daughters. I like the wavy line on the diagonal.

  2. Love the finish Wendy. You used every bit of the bundle to its best – fussy cutting the deer is so perfect for the centers of the stars. Looks wonderful.

Have a lovely Thanksgiving. Are you the turkey maker this year??

  3. nice quilting! and you get done fast that way. Happy Thanksgiving – I make it all – one day dear daughter is going to have to help out! but she was working Monday through today and short on time so I do it all
