Taking a Short Break

It’s late afternoon on Thursday, but I wanted to drop in and let you know I’ll be taking a short break from posting and sewing for a bit.

Last Friday, I was scheduled to have major surgery and have spent the week recovering. All is well, although the surgery took longer than expected, so my body has had to work a bit harder to recover. All the reports post-surgery were good for which we are so grateful.

Wilbs has been close by while I’ve been home, making sure I’m loved and cuddled abundantly. BigJ has been an amazing help around the house, and I have so many friends who have been checking up on me, praying for me, and generally making me feel loved.

I’m looking forward to being in my quilt room once again!

Until then, please keep me in your thoughts and prayers. Back soon, I hope!

Wendy

Thanks for visiting my blog! Feel free to leave a comment, and I'll respond via email.

Wendy, have a quick recovery and enjoy the time you need to recover.
Thank you for sharing I was missing your blogs and wondered why.
Share a picture in the future of nurse Wilbs at work.
    Take care

  8. Such good news! Maybe you should cuddle in a few of your quilts during your convalescence – might make you feel closer to the actual quilting studio for now. But being cuddled by your kitty is cool, too! Take care.

So happy your surgery went well even if it was a little long. Resting is always the best. I’m sure that the sewing will still be there when you are ready. Wonderful to have friends and family who care so much about your well being. Praying for a speedy recovery. No reply necessary

  10. Sending warm hugs, good vibes, and lots of literature time your way Wendy. Thanks for letting us all know. If you haven’t yet read it, A Streetcat Named Bob is a perfect read: the purring of a cat, well the vibrations from it, are known to be very healing, so let Wilbs (who reminds me a lot of Bob) do his thang!

  11. thinking of you and hope you are back to your old self soon – no one likes to have surgery so really feeling for you
