To Do Tuesday #28

It’s time for my To Do Tuesday #28 post, and I’m joining up with Roseanne and Sue of Home Sewn By Us for this fun weekly linky party. Keeping a list of my projects for the week has really helped me stay on task and get things done. Let’s see how I did this past week:

  • Finish and mail pincushion – Done!
  • Mail Freedom quilt – Done!
  • Prep backing and binding for batik quilt – Done!
  • Prep backing for Jewel quilt – Done!
  • Finish 100 Day Project quilt top – Done!
  • Sew Granny blocks – Done!

While that list looks long, mailing the packages didn’t take long, nor did prepping the quilt backs. I was already working on the 100 Day Project quilt top, so finishing that went quickly too.

The photo above is evidence that I clipped right along on the Granny blocks too – in fact, I finished the quilt top! Those granny square blocks go together so quickly when you can chain sew them. Want to see the quilt top?

The quilt measures 50″ square. I used part of a jelly roll, Little Red fabric by Riley Blake. For the background, I used Kona Silver.

I also have two blog hops that I will be participating in later in September and October, so I thought I’d get going on my projects. The first blog hop is at the end of September:

Here is a peek at the fabrics I’m using for my project:

Pretty exciting, huh? Actually it is. I got so involved in this project, I finished the top! Now I’m pondering the finishing details. I can’t wait to show it to you!

After that blog hop, I’ll be participating in this one:

I’m still thinking on my project(s) for this hop, but I have plenty of time to come up with something.

So what’s up for this week? I’m going to keep it a bit lighter this week, since I have pattern testing to do as well as some planning.

  • Quilt the 100 Day Project quilt
  • Bind Magnolia Mystery Quilt
  • August Churn Dash Blocks
  • Deli Geese Blocks

Okay, that list is a bit longer than I planned; I added a few more, just in case!

There you have it, my To Do Tuesday #28 project list for the week. How about you – how are your projects coming along?

I’m in love with your new quilt top! It’s fantastic and I love the cheerful colors and the whimsical prints! I wish I had your stamina to finish every goal these days! You’re on fire Wendy! Stay safe and have a great day!

  2. Wow you really did just motor right along AND get an entire top done for the Fall (bad word for me right now) hop! How I love that Granny square quilt! Did you just do it out of your head or is it a pattern/tutorial? I have some Aneela Hooey fabric I can so see in that pattern. Oh how I want to chase squirrels.

  3. You’re busy with your blog hops. The granny squares quilt is very cute. I love the colors. I can remember learning to crochet and making a granny square first thing. It’s been so long since I did any crochet, I’d have to learn again, I think.

Look at you! You are a super star. I love the granny squares top and can’t believe you used a jelly roll. Looking forward to the blog hops and seeing those projects. Have a fun week!

  5. Look at all those “dones” by last weeks’ list! You’ve been moving right along, and extras, too! The Granny Square quilt is really sweet – I love that fabric. I’ll look forward to seeing what you made for the Fall blog hop!

  6. Hi Wendy! Just like that – six dones in one week. Woot woot! Love the Granny blocks – and your quilt holder is doing a superb job. Love the fabric for Fall, and your list with four things on it isn’t all that short. Good luck! Thanks for linking up today. ~smile~ Roseanne
