I dug into my stash of charm packs for a little charm pack fun awhile ago. It’s hard not to have fun when you have this book, Just One Charm Pack by Cheryl Brickey, in your library. I made this quilt a few years ago from this book as well. It’s a great book to have on hand (no affiliation, just like the book)!
This is the Charming Stripes pattern from the book. It went together quickly, I had the quilt top done in an afternoon. I gave it to my longarmer, Connie, to have some fun.
While the cream spaces intimidated me, she knew exactly what to do, stitching some fun geometric designs down the length of them. The charm pack columns were filled with swirls and other creative fun.
The finished quilt measures 38 inches by 48 inches, a nice crib size quilt or a fun wall hanging, perhaps.
I used the same fabric for the backing and binding.
And of course it wouldn’t be charm pack fun if I didn’t have a little rowdy help!

Super cute. The only charm packs I’ve ever had were ones from giveaways or a gift from someone. I don’t think I’e ever purchased any on purpose. I usually break them up and treat them like scraps. They’re fun to find in my stash.

That’s a fun quilt design, Wendy, and definitely perfect for a charm pack! Love those fun colors together, too. I don’t have that book in my library, but you’re making me wish I did!

That is a very fun print in the charm pack. Someone will treasure receiving the little quilt. Thank you for the inspiration. I have not seen that book here. It’s going to be a pleasant weekend but hot.

A very bright and fun finish. I love Cheryl’s patterns. I have that book, but haven’t made anything from it.
I have that book and the second one too. They are nice easy patterns. Love the colors in your charm pack and the quilting. Your long arm quilter. is very talented as is your “model” who looks like he as just called DIBS!

Oh, this is a beautiful quilt and I really like the backing/binding print. The hardest part of using Cheryl’s book is picking which pattern to use!
I never quite know what to do with Charm Squares, but this cute quilt is a winning idea! Love all the quilting, and love that you now have a small quilt for around the home or for gifting. Congratulations on your finish (and very sweet cat :).
Wendy, this is a cute, cheerful quilt! The quilting adds a lot of pizazz. I can see why Wilbs wants to cuddle in it.
