I’ve been reading all the posts and seeing the lovely quilts of those participating in the Fall 2018 Bloggers Quilt Festival hosted by Amy Ellis of Amy’s Creative Side. True to my nature, I have waited until the week is almost done to jump in. But here I am!
The quilt I want to share today is my Spring Paws Table Topper. It was a fun challenge for me to see if I could create a mini quilt for the patio table.
Using traditional 6-inch Bear’s Paw blocks, this mini quilt measures 24 inches square. The fabric line is Dixie by Cluck Cluck Sew. The backing is so pretty it could actually be reversible.
I did simple crosshatch quilting on the mini quilt, and I didn’t add any ties or snaps to the slit, although they could easily have been included.
We have used this throughout the summer for our evening dinners on the deck. It adds a nice cheerful look to our dining table.
I hope you grab another cup of coffee or tea, and pop over to Amy’s Creative Side, where you’ll see all the quilts entered in the Festival in one place. So much inspiration! You might just find an idea for a project.
Enjoy the Festival!
Wendy

I love your little table toppers! Do you make the mini, quilt it and then cut the center and opening?
I was looking to join the quilt festival that Amy is putting on, but I just don’t have a new finish this week! *shrugs maybe next time!
Happy Friday!
How sweet! I can just imagine you having dinner out there with that cute table topper brightening everything up.
So fun to see this bright cheerful runner again on yet another cloudy MN day!
Lovely little table topper!
Hi Wendy! I am so glad you linked this c.u.t.e. table topper with the festival! It is absolutely one of my favorites you have shared with us this year. It makes me long to have a table like this, just to decorate it (and we never used the one we had). ~smile~ Roseanne
It’s always fun to take on a challenge and complete it. I’m sure you will appreciate this lovely outdoor table topper for years to come.
What a fun way to dress up our outdoor patio furniture. So bright and cheerful.
What a clever idea for a patio table topper! Love your style!
Thank you!
That’s a lovely table topper! It hadn’t occurred to me that a “tree skirt” would work on a table with a patio umbrella. Brilliant!
Well, actually the credit goes to my husband for the idea. 😊
That turned out great. Good idea.
Brilliant idea! I love the fabric you chose too, and the fact it”s reversible.xx.
Thanks!
So glad you put this sweet SO USEFUL quilt in! I’ve loved it from when you first showed us. 🙂
Thank you, Sandra! 😊
Really gorgeous fabric choices -looks great!
Thank you, Jenny!
Very pretty! Love the bright colors you used.
Wendy, I love how cheery this makes your table look! Perhaps you’ll add a fall version someday 🤔
Always nice to see this table topper the second time around! You know why I like this. 🙂
Yes, I do! 😉
Wendy I love this topper. Once I’m unpacked I may need to try one.
