Just popping in quickly to show you Eva’s SAHRR 1st Border in time for the linky party that ends tonight. I hope you’ve all gotten your progress linked up, too!
Eva had a bit of a challenge with her border this week. She is running out of the white Grunge fabric, so she needed to get everything right because she had just enough of the Grunge for the border.

With the hourglass blocks, Eva says, “I tried to let them echo the star in the middle and each corner to the one on the opposite side”. I think she did well! It’s a bit nerve wracking when you need to be accurate so you don’t run out of fabric!
I like the colors she chose for the hourglass blocks. She said she enjoyed this border and is looking forward to the next prompt.
See you back here tomorrow. I’m excited to show you my next border!

Eva, looks good to me.
Your friend,
Laura Kate
Good job Eva!!
This looks great, Eva! I see where the turquoise section of each hourglass echos the star. Love it! Running out of fabric is always a worry for me, too. Hope you can get more of that white Grunge!
Looking good Eva!
This is fun! I really like the elephant star in the center, and I think the fabrics in the hourglasses go really well with the center.
Love the colors! And those elephants!
Having limited fabric is always a bit terrifying, but she worked it out beautifully. Looking forward to her next additions.
It is stressful when you know you are low on fabric! The first round worked out beautifully, Eva.
looks good – totally forgot to check blogs today
Nice work Eva. It’s always an extra challenge when there is not enough fabric. Well done on finishing the block
Love it so far, Eva! Looking good! 🙂
I love how this is growing. Those fabrics are beautiful and the colours are perfect 🙂
Looking good, Eva!! Thanks for quilting along with us.
I love your border of hourglass blocks, Eva, and was glad you were able to make you last bit of grunge work. I hate that part where I worry every trim and snip and hope that I don’t make a mistake. Lovely job!
